Small list

Post by OES95 »

Not to be a nit pick but there might be some tweaks for game play issues.
1)I was on a roof in Al Basrah near mosque, and the Americans saw me and try to go after me, 6 Americans jump out of that helicopter that was maybe 4-5-6 feet off the ground. 4 of them died from the fall, I knifed one of them, and I missed the last one who shot me. The fall damage needs to be lowered a bit for Black Hawk Insertions to be remotely possible, and for realism cause I Ive dropped 4 feet with a full pack (hiking) and I had no problems.
2) The insurgents in Al Basrah need some SA6(I've been told they are there but we need more accessible ones since the A10s and AH1s wreak havoc on the insurgents, no tanks or cars can be brought out.
3) Al Fallujah Region: Needs alternate way around canyon gate, they mine the thing and all of them are there, impossible to get through if server is 64 people large.
OR
4) Limit the use of mines to prevent there being literally 15 mines at gate(I counted them because I had to disarm all of them)
5) Al Fallujah Region: The Sand storm is a bit odd, I couldn't see anyone when I was on a hill, but people saw me fine.

5 feet, w/gear... Might not hurt without it, but think of falling with it on. It will definitly keep you from having a steady landing, and although i doubt it, broken bones.

The weight a soldier, and hiker carry can be very different, but I agree that that short of a fall shouldn't kill you.

On a hill, you form a silhouette against the sky. It's a common tactic for people to stay as far as way as possible, as to have your body render, but not the terrain behind you, so your body forms a silhouette against the fog. While you, on a hill, can't see their silhouette against the ground.

This brings up something interesting I've seen on the servers lately. Medics pulling their med kits and jumping off roofs or other high structures that would cause any other class to bleed out.

what really is needed is ropes. I'm sure that this is possible due to the way SF grapples work.

it would be cool if fast rope would work, but it had been suggested ca 100 times before and nobody found a way to do it, i personally would give the blackhawk a second man lowering a rope (just like the british helis ramp) and if the rope is down you exit the blackhawk simply at the low end of the rope

Also I remembered something else, the helicopter sensitivity isn't that good, it is very hard to fly them and I am really good on the vanilla servers(as long as no one is on the any AA rockets of t he map) could we up the sensitivity so that its more responsive, cause most of those helicopters are very agile.
And the 5 foot fall, I've jumped that far with 30-40 lbs at least with no problem and this is only gameplay since the amount of gear visible on the players isn't that much and they should be able to make that hop down without dieing.

I've jumped 12 feet off a building with no injuries. With packs 6 sounds reasonable but I've never tried.

I've never died from falling five feet, just hurt. Was the helicopter still moving forward because that would explain it. As for the chopper sensitivity, I think you might be relying on the tail rotors too much. Now you have to tilt the chopper to turn it, tail rotor is only for minor turns at low speeds.
Thanks luizinhuu for the find

No the helicopter was absolutely still I could have thrown a grenade up there if I had one, but for the response I mean all movement, its hard to bank, roll, pitch and yaw and all that hubbub.
