I'd stay away from vehicles until you get the basics down as an infantryman. Once you understand how the game operates, then try learning more advanced things like vehicles.
'[R-DEV wrote:Rhino']all noobs that want to learn are good noobs, every one was a noob at some point
Exactly.
Best thing you can do as a new player is keep your head down and play as a bog standard infantryman in a voip squad. If you go for high-profile things such as vehicles and requested kits straight away, your likely to make mistakes and attract the wrong sort of attention.
If you ever see players you recognise from the forum in-game, try and join their squad and build up a presence in the PR community as you develop skills for particular aspects of the mod.
[R-DEV]Eggman- At one point it said Realtitty which I think was a Freudian...

same here, big learning curve indeed!
its nice to note that you didnt speicifically point out any problems being an noob yourself
I added a [noob] prefix onto the beginning of my name when playing this mod, made people aware and they started to help out by just throwing odd tips at me. Good stuff!
98% of the PR public agree, that I am the sexiest man in this community.
neb stuff i find is i can't for the life of me see who is killing me,and just the whole tactics of keep your head down.newb stuff like packs to fly, drive, the new classes.i will get it

I did, on at least 3 occasions, try and form a "VOIP New Players" squad, letting the noobs know that one has been created and that they should join. Worked well on one occasion - but with the current bugs (squad bug and some weird disconnect/lag ones ive been having) I stopped playing PR for the last week and a half. I'll be back up when the server side fix comes in, happily forming "VOIP NOOB SQUADS" - soo look out for them on the 64 EU servers.
yeah some of my favourite squads ever have been with new players...fun as hell when they starting screaming adn getting excited on voip...with i could remember nicks..have to start writing them down...
Just remember the proper etiquette and apologize 'till you are blue in the face when TK someone.

I find the hardest thing at being a n00b is
a) finding a squad with a good SL who can tell you what to do and who you can learn off.
b) your SL leaving your squad and for some reason YOUR the SL..and since you don't feel up to a SL cos you're a n00b and you have to leave as a result for the good of your squad.
c) because of the increase of n00bs, finding yourself in a squad where EVERYONE has no idea how to lead you efficiently. Not knowing the map really sucks donkey balls.

never be scared to ask a question. most of the time there are players who will answer you.
