I know its not actually hacking they are doing. But that is the term everyone has come to be familiar with for talking about cheating in an online game.

hacking makes these geeks feel happy..if he sees us calling hima ahacker he will think he is a hacker... hacking is glorified..people are proud to do it... being a cheater sucks...
Damn good point! From now on we must call them cheaters, and remove the ASBO like trophy of being called a hacker.

That is true. I never thought of it that way, cause I always seen hackers as losers with no life who do nothing but try to ruin other peoples things. (there are some 'good' hackers out there though)

I never understod the point of cheating in a computer game like PR. You can't win anything. It's just about having fun, so why spoil the fun by cheating??? Can someone explain to me, why do some people cheat? What is their motivation?

He was like 90-4, it was ridiculous. He Always knew where everyone was, I mean we would be Insurgents in a building, hiding & firing on the USMC, when all of a sudden he blasts us inside the building. Amazing how he always knew which building to fire at, even though there were like 20 other buildings around us.

Look at the pics Desertfox posted. He had the cheat were it shows all players names over everything else, therefore he could pick single people out in the vast desert and such.

The point, because they get a kick out of everybody complaining in chat and rage quiting.

Wouldn't you love speed hacks and aim bot, just run around the map mega fast and head shot them within half a minute, granted it'd only be for kicks and giggles.

I once got a hacker to save me a guy to kill.

Not that I condone cheating/hacking but I do see the other side of it.

Nope. Cause theirs no challenge to it. Actually it sounds pretty boring to me.
Define irony. A bunch of guys playing PR year after year. A game teaching initiative as the prime mover.
However, in regard to EA, these guys never took the initiative.

Maybe it's just me getting old ...but I really don't see the fun in it.

I dont see the point in a multi player game but I had a copy of N64 Goldeneye with all the cheats and I used to havea great time using the double knives with turbo speed to kill everyone.
I would set a stop watch and see how fast I could clear the level with just a pistol.
But doing with other people in the game makes you a shriveled-nut, limp d*ck loser who simply cannot compete.
There is of course the "hacker", the guy who cheats for fun, because he has the technical knowledge to adjust stuff in the game and likes the challenge.
He is an Ok to Good player but he runs hacks for the challenge of beating punkbuster and the secret knowledge that he is just better because he knows how to adjust the code.
Both of them are a holes who should be shunned.
And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.

there is a big difference to singleplayer cheats and cheating against real people.
Single player cheats (disco mode/dual weapons etc) just add a bit of fun to a game you have completed, once you have used them you quickly get bored of the game (I did with goldeneye and Turok etc on N64)

I love the fact he says he's a Christian but if you look at his name (Slay-tanic) it does seem to suggest he likes satan more than a God :p

Reminds me of cheaters in CS, they like to say they "play the game since 10 years".
Uhm, sure.

Is there any point with cheating in Vanilla? Surely you'd be voted off if a) you do bad, b) you do good (H4X WTFBBQ111!) or c) you go in a squad/by yourself/ breathe.
