all my TKs are accidental....except when someone perpousefuly TKs someone else for thair own gain
(IE: stealing a kit i/someone else just requested and didnt get a chance to pick up;
Tking a Pilot then getting in tp fly; trying to TK me or an aquaintance;
trying to TK a multiple team members(this can be by accident but its for the greater good really. Bring him down before he does anymore damage;
Perposfuly destroying friendly assests that are not beyone use/recognition.)

I will apologies for any TKs i caused unintentionaly and if i have wounded a friendly badly(go up to him and see if you can hear his heartbeat, actualy works btw) then i will throw him my field dressing.

I always try to remember to say sorry.
I normally give TK'ers time to say sorry then I will punish if they cant be bothered to take a few seconds out of their game to radio/type sorry when they have just taken 31 seconds out of yours.

We're not saints. If a clan member TK's then they're as open to a challenge as a public player.
I don't think UGH is making us out to be paragons of virtue, this is a thread where we're voicing general opinion on TK-ing.
If you have a personal beef with any clan member post it in our forum:

I say "sorry" to people I accidentally TK but I say "thankyou" to people who run under my wheels when I am driving past (normally beeping my horn), run across my fire when they can see I am firing away. That's "thankyou" for the minus points I just suffered on their behalf!

They get heartfelt apologies if they are in my squad, over voip!

If you are lying dying/dead you shouldn't have a problem reading the text.

I was meaning the person who was TK'd missing the Tkers apology. Although being automatically killed for TKing might make people pay more attention. :D

I sometimes don't notice if i tk'ed someone and after i get punished i apologise. So I'm just wondering that if someone don't notice that he teamkilled and he gets kicked, is it fair?
I've played looooong time different kinds of online games (since the times of doom) and I know that sometimes admins do overreact easily. I've got kicked even when I've apologised accidental tk's and I've been kicked because of some stupid outer-space reason and that is something that pisses me of like hell. And you can't do nothing about it. You can't say nothing to them because they have so big egos and you get banned if you whine.

So admins should really have very good reason if they kick someone and I don't think that not apologising is a good reason. It might be rude but just take it. Admins have authority (and responsibility) so when they just say about it or threat for being kicked, is enough. Nobody teamkills on purpose. Real teamkillers are different thing.

I think you may be on about auto kick there Jiipee, if you TK a fair bit and fail to notice and get punished a certain amount of times you are auto-kicked for excessive teamkilling.
It isnt hard to spot YOU[TEAMKILLED]RANDOM at the top left of screen, even in periphial vision, its even easier in PR because you only get it at the top of the screen when you TK someone, it doesnt show for kills like vBF2.

Don't play on our server then as we won't take your lack of awareness as an excuse and you will have a good chance of getting kicked. People need to learn to pay more attention, otherwise suffer the consequences. If we don't people like you will just go round being careless and not giving a fuck about the fact you've just make someone on your team wait 31+ seconds to get back into the action. It's not hard to read the text and you need to learn to do it more. ;-)

(As do most people when it comes to reading the objective text rather than running around the wrong bases like headless chickens!)

I've never been kicked for TKing. Well, except the one time I decided to open "Wasteland's Dome of Death" over Al Basrah airport in 0.4....

But other than that, never. So if you're getting kicked for TKing, you're doing something wrong, and need to learn to be more careful.

What I hate is the cobra gunners who don't spot their targets. Maybe their pilots need to stay still longer so they have time to Q-spot. I don't know. But I've been TKed by so many cobras in Al Basrah.... A-10s too. I'll insta-punish an A-10 TK, just because they shouldn't even be flying that damn thing. They should be helping us on the ground.

Sometimes they're nice and apologize right away though. Then I won't punish.

I heartily support this idea, put it in official suggestions.
Very simple, it would avoid the Revenge TKing, and would prevent asset stealing at all times.
Either that or "Auto-Blurry" state instantly, to simulate being "choked up"
I'm sure that the PR dev team will come up with some interesting solution.

From wikipedia.

---
The rules of gun safety follow from this mindset. While there are many variations, the following rules are those most commonly taught during gun safety training:

1 - Always treat firearms as if they are loaded, not safetied, and ready to fire.
2 - Always point the muzzle away from anything and everything which you do not intend to fire upon.
3 - Always keep your fingers away from the trigger until you are ready to fire.
4 - Always be sure of your target and its surroundings.

---

Trust me when you are armed with a grenade launcher, and a sensitive mouse button this can cause problems, or AT weaponry. :P

If anyone has the standard court-martial rules in the British Military or other Armed services, i would be curious what the standard penalty for negligent discharge is.
My understanding is that you are "on report" clearly if fratricide is the result matters are rather different.

U.G.H.: It's your server and i acnowledge that you have the right to make any rules for it. I would just love to see all the rules apply to the administrative party as well as the proles.

Sure, tk'ing is bad and it happens to me much often than it should, and i tend to apologize when its im clearly at fault. But as you guys know, when handling things that go boom, shit hits the fan quite often, and we all cant notice all that happening. :)

Do not take this as a personal assault, its just a point worth considering for all server administrators.
