Let me out you tool!

A new command is in order for the vodnik or APC driver that drives 100 miles an hour or never stops.
"let me out dammit"!

Any other new verbal commands we need?

What about requesting helicopter support?
There have been many times when the cobras are off dilly dallying when our squads could use the help...

Both good suggestions. The problem is we only have so many slots that can be used for verbal commands.


I say:
make IR designators. Make them the size of a grenade but make them so you can throw them. Also make it so they stick to stuff like SLAMS do.
Then code it so only pilots can see the "Strobe" effect that gets generated by the designator.

just spam "Bail out! Bail out!" it alway works for me :mrgreen: (for getting out of that apc)

mmmm I'd get a hard on if I saw an IR designator blinking in an area indicating enemy movement through my Cobra's gun scope. Being able to fire one with the 203 would be great as well. You can only throw a grenade but so far and anything near throwing distance is danger close.

no, but it's the hack we are going to use to try and make a designator work.

there's lots of wierdness and issues with it, but we're gonna try and make it work.


I also agree that spamming "BAIL OUT BAIL OUT" is the best solution for getting out of a vehicle.

We're going to experiment with the spawning .. if we can .. we might evaluate making folks spawn outside the vehicle. So you will be screaming for a pickup which, imo, is less annoying than being trapped in the vehicle. But that might have undesireable side effects.


Personally I love the Rally Points and APC spawning, but do find it a bit frustrating at times that <50% of the players have a clue.

How about using the "spotted" menu to place a CAS marker? Sort of like "Enemy boat spotted!" but instead the player would say something like "Close Air Support requested for this area" and a marker would appear on the map showing the area where it's needed.
