MREs instead of medical packs

i think US MREs and UK MREs are a bit different, whats a kendal mint cake?
i agree wit hsolodude those crackers and cheese were deliciious! and the PB&J with crackers was good.
anyone ever make bombs with the heat thingys and mixing it into a water bottle? ive made so many of those they are so much fun.

no no no. What a soldier really need's is a good brew down his neck. Ya know, you have a soldier lying with a bullet wound to the leg you dont give him morphine what he really needs is a nice brew.....just pitch up your tent and get the water boiling.

Kendal mint cake is just a slab of sugar, that is surrounded by mint flavoured chocolate. Kendal, where it was invented, is a small town up in the lake district. They are issued as they are such a high source of energy. tell you one thing i will never miss about the army.... cooked breakfast every morning in mess! That was the way forward I tell you! the army really knew how to feed you! but have you heard about the SAS? Whilst doing an OP for maybe 2 or 3 weeks, they only take simple foods that they can eat. They are unable to cook out there, as it may alert the guards, and so eat eevrything cold. In fact, at the end of the Falklands war, the SAS were relying on coffee creamer to stay alive!
