any one consider this glitching?

Post by [DVB] Avalon.ca »

placing Rally Points inside a wall / rock / tree est.... i have been noticing this lattly and i was wondering is it still possible to distroy the rally point or because they are inside a stone are they now indistuctable?, and they are almost near impossible to find.

any plans to fix this (sorry if this has been mentioned before).

I would say yes, if they are put there meaningfully but they can still be destroyed and with much delight all of a sudden 3 guys appear from no where, its like arghh glitch Rally point, But u just send the boys round to take care of it. Ats and grens and Gls in to every single part of the wall, then u will see the Bridge blown up icon once its destroyed for some strange reson

yes, unless it is visible/detroyable then it isnt fair game.
I have glitched a few as SL myself and apologised to my squad on voip and moved it somewhere else as soon as the server let me, then let the squad know again.
Also if I discover enemies spawning from walls or rocks I let the whole server know and where it is so whoever is on the gllitchers team can see which squad has glitched their rally point so they can be warned to move it.
If someone reports it to you on your server just look at which squad numbers rally point it is then warn the squad leader to move it or be kicked.

It is glitching. Definately. Even if it can be destroyed, you're using a game exploit to make it more difficult on the other team, and avoid detection unless someone actually sees people spawning from there.

They can still be destroyed.

If you see people spawning near a building just toss nades in that area.

rally points that are too close to enemy cps should also be considered glitching. it just spawns rambo soldiers who don't mind dying because they know theyll be back in 20sec.

i like the way falluja has vague spawn points. cap a cp and a spawn point appears somewhere in the "area"

rally points that are near 200m of a captured cp should auto-destruct to prevent enemies from spawning behind the lines. ruins gameplay

you cant kill people who glitch themselves into buildings so how can you take out a rally point?

I have no idea, but it works. I've accidentally had my points inside a building and it was destroyed by nades. I've also destroyed points inside of buildings with nades. It's something as a squad leader I tell my squad to look for.

hiding rally points in objects is absolutely exploiting the game and no squad leader worth his salt will do it.

Is it glitching? If done intentionally then yes.

On the other hand, placing rally points inside a building that you *can* get into, like the ruins west side of EJOD desert, should not be considered glitching.

lol we know that, we are on about inside Dam walls/rock-faces/buildings that you cant enter.
I sometimes back into a corner then look at the floor to set a rally point then it will glitch instead of putting it where I pointed, pure accident. But as soon as I can I move it, and I let everyone know what I have done and that I am sorting it before they think Im a shady glitcher

Some do, w-b-j, but I remember the last time this topic came up there was about a page and a half of misunderstanding and cross-posting, so I thought I'd clear it up early on. ;)

Of course they can still be destroyed. But you shouldn't have to take the extra time and use the extra ammo because someone wants to be cheap.

i believe it IS exploiting, hopefully it will be fixed soon.

you CAN blow it up as long as ANY part of the backpacks is sticking out. One time only a tiny little piece of it was sticking out of a building, needed to call in heavy AT to take it out, had to kill 5 spawners waiting for him to arrive...

How people can not see that this is the very definition of glitching is completely beyond me.

It may be glitching. But the real problem here is that the game allows for the glitch. You can't control human behavior, but you can control game code behavior. That's where the solution to this glitch is found.

Was playing Mutrah when i saw some guys climb up a ladder, so i wip out the G3 and wack 'em. I wait to see if any guys that could have been hiding down there would come out to see if the coast is clear. Then, some guy just rises out of the water! So i pop him too. Then few seconds later and another guy floats to the surface and gets on the ladder. Wacked. A message appears on global chat "Stop spawn raping!"....My reply"LOL! your telling me to stop spawn raping when you are glitching by putting a RP under water? Are you serious?!"...no reply.
Serves them right. I sat there busting heads for a few minutes and then some manages to swim underneath the water front and hide there. By then, about 4 other guys had amassed there and were shooting at them too.

I couldnt resist, so i jumped into the water and looked at them only to see about 8 USMC troops all huddled, floating in the water. So i quickly got a few screenshots and messaged "lol! Screenshotted! Your are all on candate camra!" before swimming off, spamming voice commands as i went.
I later came back with an RPG and Duke, me and a few other guys wasted them. Serves them right for what I call glitching.

...mongol...
