Bring back Zyangying Security!

Post by Topf »

Well...what do you say?
Imo, Zyangying was the best map, EVER (all maps since Bf42 did not reach this level of intensity).

Dear Devs, bring back the greatest map you ever built!
Maybe I am in a minority, so let the people decide ;)

i didnt like that map because it had no teamplay aspects to it, all that happened was people would go lone wolfs in the jungle and pick off enemies or spam nades into the main camp bit.

the only teamwork that happened was from pilots dropping off m4 whores into the compound.

that and the fact that 90% of the map was neglected, everybody just naded the compound non stop in my experience,

This is the one with the POW camp?

I always hated that map. Not 100% sure why. I think it was the size. It was always a frag-fest.

it was an awsome map, but it could use some stretching . No more urban elements to it though, woodlands is better.

Zang was one of my favourite maps and still is.
However, im prepered to let it go because its not a very realistic map.
Its a tiny kill zone where there is little room for manouverability. If this map were somehow expanded(i cant really see how) and 'realisticised' then it would fit in with PR. Perhaps this map, being part of a much much larger map, could serves as the core of the objective that is extract a military pilots from the POW camp.

Where would you hide the rally points? The map had its time, and it is time for PR to move onto bigger and better maps that fit PR's style of gameplay more effectively.

let me complete:
i don't give a **** since it was a darn small map, if some mapper comes to edit it and make a big one out of Zhanjiang then things can become interesting, but i'm really done with all the bamboo after OGT and Mao

That was my first fun PR round on that map, its great for beginners cause its flat and easy to say together, plus the grass give cover. needs to be bigger because it ended to quickly and was too small,

I would rather play the better maps we have. As it is, I am a 24/7 Basrah player. Instant classic imo, and we need to make new maps up to its standards.

This was one of my favorite maps too. It sported some solid action despite its small size and teamwork wise it was pretty decent.

Personally, I hate to see maps just "cut" like that. If it had issues, why not simply improve on what you got rather than discarding it. Even when it was in the mod, I felt that it could definately use some major improvements. The flag order just seemed odd, and I though the map could use a bit of expanding. Same concept can apply to all the other maps that were just "cut" from the mod.

Bring it back along with Oasis, El Al and CP Abaden. Also remake the Jungle Fever map into a bigger version and bring that back. It was the best jungle map thus far.

I didnt like Oasis or El Al, but I loved CP abadon and JF. I know that JF was far from ideal, but a larger scale remake would be awesome.

And CP A should be changed so the marines bleed tickets if they only hold thier main CPs and the Bridge. It was rediculus. They could just sit there with a view of the whole waterfrount and win.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

I agree. Zyangying Security is one of my favor maps for reasons as follows:

1.
It was the first map i ever-played in PR.

2.
My hardware runs the map smoothly.

3.
It offers good basic tactical possibilities in both attack and defence.

4.
It got the intensity that the so-called noob group needs and the so-called vet group misses once in a while.
Define irony. A bunch of guys playing PR year after year. A game teaching initiative as the prime mover.
However, in regard to EA, these guys never took the initiative.
