hrmm, we need more Chinese stuff >.< too much brits and US stuff, and no Chinese stuff at all..
Also depends if the penetrate exceed all the way to the ammo storage area, the 120mm rounds might cook off, and injure some lil poor tankers, spalling would definitely hurt a hellever alot too..
In a challenger, I have heard tank crews complaining of screws coming loose... so if one of them hit you in the eye, or into your mouth whilst you were yelling a command... could be lethal. A long shot, but still lethal....
Allthough i would hope that inside is now layered with somthing to dampen effects like that. kevlar mabe?
Regarding an AT misile hitting the engine of a tank. Its probably the best place to hit it. It must get through the armor (lighter but there) and then pentrate through the whole engine before reaching the crew. And regardles of what you may think engines do not explode, it may set on fire or spurt out fuel but that should not happen inside the tank where the crew could have a chance of escape.
Flaming Liquid fuel, and poisonous gases are deadly, if entered into the crew compartment, it all comes down to chance/luck/wtf the enemy is shooting you with
Nah, hit the tracks, the underneath will smoulder and toxic fumes will fill as the oil burns slowly throught the chassis ultimatly posining the crew. Man what a horrible way to die!
Yea and they are trained to escape when the inside is filled with smoke. Houses burn and fill up with smoke but if you know what your doing you escape. Im not 100% sure but i think tanks have a gas masks for each crew member also which would buy them time to get out.
I know what your trying to say but im not convinced that 1 AT missile will destroy and kill the tank and the crew inside unles it was one hell of a lucky shot that flew inside the top hatch and exploded inside .
Brothers in arms did it well, you climbed on the back of the tank, booted off the fuel tank cap then dropped a grenade in. A few seconds later there was a loud pop, a lot of smoke and a german tank comander bursting through the coppola in flames
