I my opinion I can see no down side to this at all and it will be very useful!
We need to add to camo rose a:
"We need air support over here sir!" or "Requesting air support here!"
It will work similar to when a squad leader asks for artillery or supplies. A yellow circle (Though smaller than the artillery ones) will apper on every soldiers map who is piloting either a helicopter or plane. This will give them actual places where they are needed instead of just flying around aimlessly until they see something. This ability will only be given to commanders, and squad leaders. Squad members can request it, but not direct the circles.
Imagine being a sniper on a hillside and seeing a coloumn of tanks coming to attack an undefended outpost and you request air support. The little circles and an objective marker shows where the attack helis to go and they blow up all of their tanks!! Wooooooo!
I can't see anything that could go wrong with this, unless it is very hard to impliment in game.
Also when someone asks for transprt a little icon of a wheel or something appears above their head so people know who wants transport. To prevent not being able to see where the hell the person is who asked for transprt, this was on Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising and was extremely useful.
