heads up - 99% that server patch will release later today

We just wanted to make sure that the server release was not totally borked by expanding the open beta.

We may still have some issues to resolve, but this server patch should bring the game play back to how we originally intended it to work (flag cap timer changes, CP group changes) as well as address some minor game play annoynaces and all known server crash issues are fixed (servers can run Helmand and Airport again without worrying about the Land Rover crash).

Lag appears to be much improved, tho some people have reported lag on certain maps, this does not seem to be the same sort of lag that we were experienceing before.

Should be releasing it later today, evening time PST as we have a few things to co-ordinate with a release.

Will be a news announcement later on .. there's always the 1% chance that the news announcement will be about a delay in the patch, but I am hoping we can release it today (cuz if it's not today it's gonna be next week).

Great news. Although I have never really had lag problems before. PR's always been good to my computer. The only annoyances IMO are the flag cap timers, I mean there were times when 4-5 of us were capping & it took like 5 minutes to get the flag up, lol.

ahh cool i went on the beta and it was fine (although my comp plays pr like a saint so i couldnt realy compare on lag issues) thanks eggman dude :razz:

From testing it tonight there's a couple of map specific bugs (see tester forum Eggman) but other than that it seems good to go. :D
