I never said the flying was *amazing* or anything. Just that the video's great because it really shows one of those golden moments in PR when you get a good squad and a somewhat unique tactic, and really start flowing.

This vid also reminded me of a time when I was WACing (Riki I think you were there) as Chinese on Qwai. We were in the hills west of Fishing Villiage, and USMC helos kept trying to insert whole squads right next to us. So we'd bust out just as everyone hopped out, unload with nades, and then reload and wait for the next helo-load.

As for foolishly hitting hot LZs, I think they were fine. If you notice, many times the helo aborts his landing due to small arms fire. And at the beginning the squad goes to secure the helo's LZ for him.

Having squads organized and with air support like that give your team a HUGE advantage, especially on larger maps. Being able to act quick and get from point a to b is invaluable. I remember one squad I was in where everyone had Voip and this one guy (pie something? Can't remember) was our dedicated pilot and a good one too. It was on OSF's server I remember. Not only is it a tactical advantage that can win games but its also alot of fun setting up DZs and coming for the sky to take out hard points. I wish the good times were more often then they are (for me at least, awsome squads can be hard to come by).

Glad you enjoyed watching.

As wasteland stated the video is highlighting the use of air transport within a squad. I cut out most of the fighting to focus on insertions/extractions and to show what can be accomplished with a veteran pilot when given the chance to fly.

I never played with the pilot ([AcB]NimbleJack) before and there were a few other faces joining and leaving during the round which do not appear on the end credits (Snoopicus, [RK] defuru and a few others). So we had about 50% TG and 50% non-TG players. It was Snoopicus who started the squad and pointed out that NimbeJack can do some pretty flying.

If you would like to use the video for PR promotion feel free to link to the original thread at TG. I'd rather not have the video put up on Youtube.

I love having a dedicated pilot in my squad when I am leader, partly because I have not learned the helo's enough yet for PR (gotta get the joystick dirty again.)

Everytime I see you on a server, desertfox, you are not on my team but on the other.

We played togeather once on the 24/7 al basra and you were an A-10 pilot for me and we did a pretty good job of coordinating the team work.

Mad props to the squad leader and the squad, really knew what they were doing. I, on several occasions being a dedicated pilot have had the luxury of a seasoned SL that was precise and clear in where he wanted me.
The pilot seems to have talent but not too much experience.

That LB is a rocket magnet and extractions/pick-ups have to be lighting fast. You simply can't afford to take the time to hover. You basically have to fly into the ground and skid to slow down to maintain airspeed in the process. Unless of course it's an uneven terrain which I hate.

Can you remove that? Dawolf has asked that it not be put on Youtube. It's his video.
