I know that. But was just wondering how it would be implemented.'[BFD wrote:Ells']Buy it with $ or £ or $ lol
With the new server update, it looks like if you're not in the sqaud that has control of the vehicle, you will die.
Also make sure you have the right kit to drive/fly vehicles.
Press T, Request Kit, Select Kit
So, therefore only for armour, APCs and choppers. That will keep the b@stards out.

Also, with regards to APCs, does this new feature just affect the driver and gunner position or all of the passenger positions as well?
FWIW I think this is a very good idea, if its gunner and driver, however APC drivers will just have to be aware, if a bluey spawns into the gunners seat and cannot move to the passenger slots, you need to stop and let them out.

But no one ever does stop and let them out. People are going to end up avoiding moving APCs because the driver just keeps going along. If you jump out you die, and if you stay there you die. its to encourage the gunner and driver working together.
bottomline is: if its not your squads tanb/chopper, leave it the fuck alone.
if its an APC, then stay out of the gunner/driver position, act as infantry support!
and generally i use this rule of thumb for ALL vehicles (especially helicopters): if i dont know the person who is driving, i dont get in the car. because 9 times out of ten, if you dont know them, they will get you killed. they will drive STRAIGHT TO THE FLAG and get pwned by AT rockets.
so do yourself a favor and follow your squad leader, he will know how best to transport you. if your running around by yourself and want a ride, dont expect much...
