overmoderation or another parallel posting universe?

Was my thread just deleted yesterday?
I did mention it in irc when it happened, perhaps the other members who posted in it know what I am on about.
the picture of the conjoined twins (really it was 2 brit soldiers on airport)
OK it may not have been worthy but to just go gung-ho on forums deleting everything you think isnt worthy, without even pming the thread poster is not how you moderate.

well where I moderate we have a "Moderators - Private" forum and when we delete or alter anything we are expected to post in there what we did and why, we also PM community members concerned explaining what we have done and why.

Not going to happen. Trust me, I've gotten a lot of **** randomly deleted without being informed. I'm not the only one either. Generally, I think these forums are run great but the mods and devs seem to love deleting this too much and loath informing people of what happened and why just as much.

Don't be surprised if this gets locked or deleted though, watch they'll tell you you should have pm'd someone which is a bit funny since I've never got a pm back from the mods and devs when I asked "why was my thread/post deleted".
