Do you guys (witht he connection problems) use wireless? I swear that's the main cause of all my problems, it'll turn off without warning or reason and turn back on without any outside interference. Several of my friends are using the same wireless router as I am and they all say they get the same annoying drops.

My sentiments exactly. If you use a wireless connection....wire it! If you can't then I'm afraid you may be out of luck. I have had negative experience in the past with using a wireless LAN to access the net and play PR for long periods of time, depending on how much interference you have in/around your house it can greatly impact your connection, including totally losing it.gandhicakes wrote:Do you guys (witht he connection problems) use wireless? If possible, get a wired connection, it is 100% reliable, unless you end up getting a crappy cable

im on a 24 meg ethernet cable with telewest and theyre very reputable. downtime is .01% of 365 days
i get "you have lost connection" error message roughly every 30min on any server. annoying
i think the new features in .5 has pushed the weak bf2 netcode to breaking point because this thing never happened in .4
i think the already poor bf2 netcode is being bombarded with dozends of kit requests, multiple spawns, multiple rally points and it just cuts people off randomly because it cant cope

If it was a code problem everyone would get it, it's your internet... maybe there are too many computer online on your network or something... try to stop all downloads on all your computers...'[PR wrote:ARRC|Gringo']definatly agree, i think is a code problem, and a lot of us are paying the price for it, any Dev have something to say about this?

I get this message all the time as well, it's extremely frustrating. I hope we can fix soon. I don't know what the problem is. I'm not on wireless, and I only have TS and X-Fire running in the background. I've gotten it down to only 24 total processes running the background. My internet is not crappy, because I can run other games completely fine. This only seems to happen with PR.

Noticed that just happens when im playing PR, tried BF2 Vanilla (God Help Me) and didnt happened, so i really think is PR not my network, never had a problem with my network, and i even shut the internet for the other PCs and nothing, still getting kicked with "There is a problem in your connection"

i have exactly the same problem, though im on wireless unable to wire my connection (in one months time ill do, *yeah*).
i get erratic disconnects either on joining, often at mapchanges and sometimes in the middle of a map. the wireless does NOT disconnect, ping /t shows no lost packages. nevertheless im disconnected and cant connect again for some minutes. all very weird. happens on 2 pcs btw and with vbf2 too. this is ONLY with voip activated. in vbf2 i dont care bout voip and switch it off coz noones using it. but pr w/out voip suxxx hard guys
