Poll Decreased Performance after serverside patch?
ALright this poll is to see if you got worse performance after the serverside patch.
Here is my story:
Before the patch i was playing devfile 247 basrah with 50 something players with 40+ fps.
That was with everything medium, 800x600@75, and 4xAA.
Now with the patch im playing everything medium, same resol, and 2xaa and no AA at times.
I can't crawl above 15 fps in the city, and my ironights lag jump. I have a good 68 ping, but its the game itself this time.
Many of my squad members agreed that it is not video card lag, memory lag, it is the game. The server lag was easier to manage as it only happened every now and then, but now it is constant player lag and basrah is quite unplayable except in an abrams or t62.

Need to know if this is more than just Al Basrah.
About the only things I can think of that we changed is that the CP groupings are tighter so there will naturally be more players within a smaller area AND I believe the view distance was boosted up very slightly. The combination of the two could be contributing to it ??

Its been MUCH better.
Less server-side lag it seems. Although, I noticed a combination of client-side and net lag when I was gunner in a tank. Then the lag stopped when I got out. This was on Devfile Al-Basrah 24/7. My driver reported the same problem.
I usually disable Windows Auto-update and Norton antivirus when I play though, along with any other prog or service that uses the Internet, so I doubt it was non-BF2.

al bashra is unplayable for me ones the hardcore cityfighting starts was not like playing ont the old server patch. i have had lag on other maps as well witch were never laggy befor like qwai, sunset, and jabal. i have never experienced lag on these maps before. my ping was a nice 62 the whole time i was playing. And now im not downloading midget porn to cause the lag
