Creating BF2 Maps

My curiosity's gotten the best of me, just how does one go about creating a map for BF2? I have noticed how Masitros is making a replica of Coronado & I can't help but wonder what programs the PR developers use to create the maps?

i've been wondering about this too. how long does it take to create a brand a new map?

i would say it takes about 2 months on average
