The only time bunny hoppers are ever a problem is when the two of you are very close together. when you both are in the same room it can get on your nerves at times. I had a guy bunny hop away from me while I was trying knife him. No matter I just switched to the pistol and blasted him when he thought he got away
Maybe they'll stop when their fingers get tired. lol.

I like it when players bunny hop, its like a big sign that says "SHOOT MEEEEE"
Not a big deal. Stupid tactic to use. Although I would make it so it takes longer to pull out your gun after bunny hopping. E.g. every time you jump and land, your character pulls his gun out as if he was switching weapons. People would be less likely to do it then.

Doesn't bother me either way. Didn't bother me in vBF2 either. I didn't vote, because the choice of "Doesn't bother me" wasn't available.
In my experience playing PR for the last couple months I just haven't seen that many hoppers at all. The few bunnyhoppers I have come across have simply attracted attention to themselves, therefore dying quickly. When I play I do my best to NOT attract attention, as that gets you killed quickly in PR. Bunnyhopping is just like holding a neon sign that says "Here! Here I am, shoot me!".
I always do best by looking before moving, sprinting across open spaces, and using cover. Bunnyhopping seems to defeat all those things.
Do I think it is a good thing? No, I think it looks silly when people do it. But I don't stay awake at night being upset about it.

You're like a broken record with this "one handed blindfolded amazing accuracy" shite you talk about that you can do. I mean, in the quick prone thread, someone even went out of their way to try what you say you could do before concluding that you just spew garbage out your mouth.Determined wrote:You an hit a target 40 feet away 100% of the time one handed with your eyes closed. Don't get me started on your over complication of something simple.
Anyway, respawning after you die is even more unrealistic than the act of jumping. So find a better argument.
Fact is bunny hopping is not very effective, and hardly anyone ever does it. This has just been a waste of interenet space.
And respawning is an essential element to the game, use some logic, then try and find a better retort
And I don't know what servers you guys are playing on, I'm just utterly confused here... I sincerely doubt there's been even one round where I haven't come across someone who hops out of danger's way time after time. It -IS- effective in certain situations, hitting a target that is moving randomly fast and slow, up and down, especially with a semi-auto (notably the M16), is harder than hitting something running in a straight line.
Obviously there are times it makes you easier to hit, mainly in wide open areas where someone can really take their time, but when you have a limited engagement time before they will get to cover, bunny hopping will save your *** much more than sprinting will, guaranteed. Bunny hopping can be the difference between you hitting them two times instead of three, meaning their life.

no - it should be thoroughly "realistic" and they should go the way of unusedKenny wrote: Is it possible to make it when you jump twice in a row you lose all your stamina and can't jump??
vehicles left on the battlefield - more than two jumps and they explode

I have noticed a lot more bunnyhoppers since PR won that award. I'm just going to give it time for them all to adjust to the PR culture or get tired of sucking alot and just go away.
Whenever I effortlessly mow down one of these frightened wabbits I remind myself that they are recent immigrants from that third-world bass ackwards land of Vanillastan - and I pity them.

It's lame that there is bunny hopping in this game. But the PR dev's can't do anything about it. Ideally when your stamina is low you should not be able to jump. That would solve the entire problem. But nothing can be done (so far as I gather from the devs).
It's in the game, so get over it!
Stop whining!

I'm serious... sad this earlier in this thread - upped it to three here, but any more than three consecutive jumps and the player's little guy explodes.
Follow the trail of exploding noobs.

I think that this will perfectly fit on the end of this thread:

But I would not recommend this one to people with weak hart on bunnies.

I'm sure that when under fire in RL people come up with some crazy ways of "dodging" bullets. What ever it takes right. But since BF doesn't allow anything other than moving forwards/backwards/left/right, bunnyhoping makes up for that. I mean you cant ever crouch and run. Or take a peak around a corner.

how about zig-zagging? I heard my first "BLAST YOU AND YOUR DAMN ZIG-ZAG" the other day. I was happy.
