LOL. Omg thats so weird. I just watched that this morning. I hadnt watched it in a LOOONG time but you will never believe what they did. They used hueys. Im not even joking. There are several scenes, but they put them in so descretly that most people never noticed. For example (most noticible scene imo):'[R-MOD wrote:Mongolian_dude']
I aint no expert, but all i gonna say iz i neva saw no UH1-Bell in in BHdown
what is more fequently used where?
...mongol...
When they are following the informants car in the "black hawk", all of the shots from above the horizon showing only the chopper, the sky and the inside of the helicopter are indeed, shots of a black hawk. However, in the 1 or 2 shots where it shows the chopper from above while it is following the marked car, THEY REPLACED IT WITH A FRICKEN HUEY. I couldnt believe I hadnt noticed before. Check it out.
"The scene where the helicopter follows the informant's car was an error as the helicopter on the screen in front of General Garrison is a Huey, but when the image cuts away, the chopper from the screen becomes a Black Hawk."

There were also a few other minor errors, such as when they were talking about dispatching a SAR bird to assist the downed pilots, one of the AH-6's breaks formation instead of an MH-6.

That's because originally, they couldn't get Blackhawks for the film and were going to use Hueys painted black (No other nation's military has the Blackhawk). However, after some begging, the DoD let them use all sorts of goodies, like the 160th SOAR in their blackhawks and Little Bird's, A goodly amount of Rangers (For the fastroping scene), as well as a few other items. Interestingly enough, the pilot of the AH-6 in the part of the movie where it lands at the Crash site is THE SAME PILOT who did that exact same thing in the real event. There were also quite a few Nightstalkers who were at the incident that flew in that movie.Fenix16 wrote:Observations about the Huey in BHD
