I was playing last night with the shot gun. I swear to god, it took 4 shots in the chest at point blank to kill a guy.

honestly, i think the weapon is great, but its a specialty weapon, if your about within 15m of a guy it will kill a unarmored guy with a solid hit to the center mass, and the its dandy for knocking out prone divers as you don't have to be that accurate.

and the slug shot, it losses a lot of its damage over range but its very accurate. it made me laugh on the release weekend when i shot a sniper off the roof with it.

Are you kidding me? I have been as close as 10 meters, Crouched zoomed in, and shot 4 well aimed slugs at enemies who then turned around and killed me with a burst of assault rifle bullets. There is nothing the shotguns can do that any other weapon(besides knife) cannot do MUCH better right now.

the slugs are good(better than a pistol), i've killed many people with them, but why get a shotgun if your only going to use slug? an assault rifle is better suited for that role. The buckshot is useless outside of 5 meters

buckshot spread is WAY to big, it should not be very spread after 10m it should be good out to about 30m, then beyond would be slug territory. beleve me i have a about 5 shotguns, i know what they will do

Realistically, if you were hit by a shotgun round at close range, you would be shredded. Even if you survived being hit (body armour?) the force of the hit would knock you on your arse and you would be winded, dazed, and in a hell of alot of pain. You'd be as good as dead.

So please, increase the damage. I do so love my shotgun.

Ditto, A shoutgun can kill most things with a direct hit up to 30-40 meters++
Ofcause aslong as the thing you shoot at does not wear a cevelar vest.

I'd take pistol over shotgun right now, at least you can get a load of rounds off with the pistol in no time.

just aim for the head and hit twice huh? its that easy? i wish i thought of that..haha yea right.

if you havent noticed the whole point of this is to say you should have to hit the head 2-3 times or shoot them 2-3 times to get a kill.

Taking someone down to 2% health doesn't count as a kill.

Spread is good for close range if the shotgun is powerful, if it's weak, then a tighter spread is better.

I have gotten about 16 kills with pistol my k/d with pistol is about 16/13. My k/d with shotgun on the other hand is 4/30(Yea I know it is sad I keep track of my stats). I dont know why I do so well with pistols, but I have tried time and time again and failed with shotguns in PR. I usually love shotguns in most FPS's, but in PR they just SUCK!
