1. Damage modeling.. People should die when I shoot them. And if it's not a fatal hit, it should knock you down and blur your screen to be disorienting.
2. Helicopters should be harder to fly, far more deadly, and easier to shoot down. On the note of helicopters.. Transports should be much, much more manuverable. And the blackhawk should be armed with M60's like they are in real life, and not M134's. Also, as far as Blackhawks go, they seat 11 + 2 crewchiefs and 2 pilots.
3. Get rid of the boundries! Use the whole map! Make vehicles faster, and aircraft much faster. Make transport nessessary, instead of optional.
4. 2 blocks of C4 will not kill a tank. 1 static mount AT missile will. SRAW/RPG should destroy light armor with one missile. Maybe 1 to the tracks would immobilize a tank.
5. Parachutes should only be useable once, and only pilots and airborne classes should have them. Helo pilots excluded.. Actually.. Helo pilots should be locked in while airborn.
6. Make the targeting squares come up for targets beyond visual range.. For both the AA, and the aircraft (helos too). Make the hellfires "laser guided" even tho thats not really possible.. But the co-pilot should just have a panable, zoomable tv screen to aquire targets.. Once aquired and locked, the missile would pretty much be FOF since lasing isnt possible in game as far as I I'm aware..
7. Give all helo cannon the splash damage from the Havoc. Also the cannon's are designed to penetrate armor. It should take out light armor with only a few hits. Tanks would be a few more, but still easily done.
8: 2.75in rockets should have much more spash damage aginst infantry, and much more damage overall. They should have no problem taking out light armor with only 1-3 rockets. But they should be almost useless against tanks. And IRL, they're selectable to ripple fire a preset # REALLY fast.. Since thats rather complicated, just make them like DC Realism.
There's plenty more, but I'm tired.. I guess what I'm really looking for is Operation Flashpoint, with a larger playerbase, and smoother multiplayer.. Hopfully with a lot of modding, BF2 can actually become somewhat realistic.
20-30mm rounds can penetrate light armour as though seen on APCs, and light vehicles. There penetration value against MBTs are abit null, they are unable to penetrate the frontal, side of MBTs, only on certain MBTs can it penetrate the rear and top armour sections. All Tanks currently in-game are immune to standard 30mm cannon fire. Depleted Uranium 30mm rounds fired from a GAU-8 on the A-10A are deadly to all older generation tanks, such as the T-72s, T-55s, M-60s and so on, but there uses against more advance MBTs like T-90, ZTZ-98, M1A1+, and so forth are a waste. Though ofcourse they can be still destroyed or disable via it, but they are alot more resistant, and therefore a waste to fire at them.
