Who's Been In My Squad?
I'm bored so I figured I'd start this. Anyone who has been in my squad post here. My game tag is ^DD^Soulja and my squad is 99% of the time called "Spec Ops", I play on the Devfile 24/7 Basrah server a lot, but can be found elsewhere. Can just talk about good times, compliment me/others, and most of all I'd like to know your opinion on my squadleading : What I should do better, what I'm doing good etc.
Also if anyone who has played with me before would like to get in touch with me my xfire is "ogikarma".
I love squadleading and will greatly appreciate your comments, good or bad, long as they might make my leading better.
Later.

We tried to explain it to you but you count quite get it. Only problem was that half the team was at the airport.Desertfox wrote: Numerous times I took the path less travelled and was on the flag but no one was was there.
And also, there's a quote i remember, dont remember who from though. When many men take the road less traveled, the road is bound to be discovered.

Half the team at airport doesnt matter, you could have fallen back and taken the road less travelled near the flag set up a rally point gone to the flag and then when we died we could have spawned on you.Soulja wrote:We tried to explain it to you but you count quite get it. I'll admit, we were overwhelmed and I probably shoulda took a diff route, but my main train of thought was to hold the highway leading to the south VCP so our armor could move up (which it never did), and also there was no commander so i couldn't request air support from the nice air only squads.

Well, iv'e been in your squad a couple of times now. And what iv'e noticed is that you need to be pretty hardcore to enjoy it. And that's not necessarily a bad thing. I like hardcore realism play. However you might wanna rename the squad to something that implies "nO nOObs hErE" or whatnot =) Calling a squad Spec Ops is like draining your self in honey and hoping that the bees won't sting.
Leadership wise i think ur doing a good job and one of the best ways to improve it is to do what you did yesterday, kick smacktards who doesnt use VOIP outta the squad. And since you run a pretty tight crew you need to have atleast 2 Vets in the squad to utilize it to it's fullest content.
Sidenote: Good fun yesterday and good commanding. Gotta love when you put attackmarkers for me to light up with the SAW. It was all fun and games until i smoked ya trying to lay down covering fire by the industry =)

Which then, assuming the enemy is entrenched facing the front, causes them to reorganize into what usually amount to weaker positions on the front line because they have to cover the flank, opening up a bit of breathing room for the bulk of your own team's force to put the pressure on.Soulja wrote:And also, there's a quote i remember, dont remember who from though. In my imagination, it's not out of the question that having such a path discovered would be a good thing. Hell, accentuate it. Keep the defenders on their toes.

played against you a few times
and i've seen a battle recording of a round in devfile (the tank convoy one)
and i followed your squad for 10-15 mins i loved the moment when a a-10 buzzed overhead and your squad of 5 rpg's and one policeman opened fire at the same time from the same building, reminded me of a rocket artillary peice

Most of the time when we down a chopper they won't have a clue what happened to them.'[EtE wrote:nickbond592']played against you a few times

my favorite way of downing choppers in basrah was when we found a heavy AT kit off a dead american!!!!! we saved it from the hell in the desert, and brought our treasure deep within the city. The rest of the round was spent supplying ammunition to the 'boom stick' and destroying ANYTHING coming to the city: APCs, Tanks, jets, helicopters, infantry; you name it, the boomstick took care of it

Truely devious.
Speaking of not knowing what kills you...
Ever been in a chopper and it just dies? No explosion, no tell tale sound of a particular type of munition striking you. You just die? I'm sure it is from a tank round, or maybe a one hit RPG kill? Just wondering if that is something that is going to be worked on.
