Improve Engineer class.

I find that the engineer class is rather lacking. The landmines and C4 hardly improve it, as it stands, theres no reason to go engineer when one can go crewman and have the added advantage of being able to hop on APCs & tanks.

Any suggestions on what to add to the engineer class to integrate him into teamwork better?

more maps with bridges only to get from one wp to another and no helos :D

ur team will love u if u play engi :D

I dependss on your preferences. I would play more if hte shotgun was a bit more powerful.

Yea... i was playing the policeman on helmand and i found a guy and he turned and i shot him dead in the face, saw the puff and everything, and he just shot me up in the time i reloaded and was dead.

engineer is getting a rework for 0.6, they will be a vital aspect of the team especially for the new commander assets.

currently in 0.5, the engineer wrench repairs things at triple the rate of the crewman wrench, so yes they do have an advantage.

aslong as the shotgun gets a revamp so it doesnt suck *** it would be nice. C4 also needs a power boost, it would be cool if it would knock the tracks off a tank or if placed on the rear doors of APCs would blow it up. i know C4 isnt a shaped charge but the force of the blast will knock tracks off and turrets and other things.

British Royal Engineers have access to loads of C4, perhaps some could be added?

And could kill someone from more than a meter away... honestly, you'd think that thing would be decent for urban combat, but I engaged a tango that was approximately six meters away and just about all my shots missed.

yeah the Engineer will get the K......N thing and on mountain maps like hamyong they have grappling hooks

only the engineer is getting the folding shovel?
but that's terrible! Everyone should have one so as to make a little pseudo foxhole for cover.
The engineer as is needs to be more focused on explosives and blowing shit up, lose the shotgun and some way that landmines are more effective than very easily spotted road blocks

The engie is the best on Helmand. C4 + Destroyable buildings = amazing body flying out of window action. But yes... make the shotgun stronger please!

Shovel is not limited to Engineers.

Foxholes and the like are *eventually* part of the plan, but will be very limited as we experiment with them.
