Carbines are now barely balanced. Scoped L11 and M4 are seems to be real and balanced. So is QBZ-97 with its precise sight and small recoil but Hk53 sux, it has too high recoil and not the best iron sight.
In 0.4, M4 owned HK53, but HK wasn't that bad. Everybody expected the recoil of M4 to be increased but you increased recoil of both HK53 and M4 which doesn't make sense and influences gameplay badly.
HK53 has only 25 rounds in the magazine and much lower rate of fire (600, compared to M4 - 900, it fires faster by 50%).
So I suggest you reduce the recoil of HK53 to amount which was in 0.4 or if you think it would be too much, then at least reduce a bit less.

I almost see no difference between G3 and HK53

I don't know much about the calibers between the two guns. I believe they fire the same round, don't they? Wouldn't that mean with the HK53's shorter barrel that it would have more kick than a full-sized G3?

the MEC need to lose the Hk53 anyway - it uses 5.56mm NATO
Give the spec ops a G3KA4 instead
I'd prefer to see it given to the British Spec Ops as the L101 and use the excellent M4/C8 model as the basis for the US forces

Hmmm, i you got a point. if the G3KA4 is 7.62, i would think it a better choice. Howeve, it'd have to be moddled and skinned and scripted.

It's true, the HK53 uses 5.56, and the G3KA4, which is a cut-down version of the regular G3, uses 7.62.

Hk53 fires 5.56mm NATO standard rounds. I personally don't understand whey they have the weapon either, I sort of liked the AK-74U from nilla but I am guessing the devs didn't. I know the G3 has a carbine version, and it would be great if they got it (Fit in with the theme better).

My guess is not enough time to make a new model, skin it, animate it and get it into the game...

The AKS-74U doesn't fire the same ammo as the G3.

I cant stand that weapon. It looks so over customized and UBER PWNING. A nice wooden finish and iron sights would have done nice, not that special forces=high gizmo, invincable sniper stealth ****.

As the G3KA4 is not going to be modelled "next week" a temporary solution to make HK53 should be executed - lower recoil. Some dev who was supposed to code recoil probably thought it was really G3KA4 using 7.62x51mm caliber.
Doing only lower damage of 5.56mm with such a high recoil it is really worthless carbine, compared to others.
