Vanilla maps?

hey guys!
ive noticed alot of the old 0.4 have got maps on them like Karkand.
where have they all gone?
i head there was a Karakand 2
?
why do the servers not use then anymore
those maps would be awsome on AASv2

Because those maps suck. I prefer we stick to new maps that actually encourage strategic advancements rather then "LoLZ ThRoW NaDez ov3r t3h gAt3 @ Hot3lz!11!!11!one!!!eleventy!z"

in v0.5 there is only 1 stock map, that is hevily modifyed which is Gulf of Oman.

we will slowely include more stock maps (is the genral plan) but we are going to hevily modify each and every one of them, thou we dout servers are going to run them as much as they run our custom maps.

I like the custom maps way more than the BF2 ones. I mean even Golf of Oman has way too many vehicles. I think maps from the Booster packs might work better as they had way more flags, and they were way more open. Especaly the Euro Force booster pack. I would love to play as the British on Operation Smoke Screen, or Great Wall.

The truth is that everyone's sick fed up of the 'nilla maps as they stand and when Rhino & the lads have given them an overhaul then you'll see them on servers.
However, on .:iGi:. we still chuck them into our rotation now and again "For Auld Lang Syne".

Most of the maps weren't PR fitted so they took em off. I wouldn't mind Mashtuur back on

Seriously though, unless that guy's signature is in humor... Perhaps he isn't exactly cut out for the mod.

If join date trumps all, as you seem to believe... then obviously, his opinion matters more than the OP. And since UGH seems to find it humorous, he must out-rank you due to join date. Seeing as he's got rank on you due to join date, you are wrong. Thanks. Have a nice day.

My comment, like his sig, was a joke. Besides, I downloaded PR the second I heard about it, which was in 2006. OMG I must be a n00b cuz i joined the forums in 2007! Since when does one's join date affect how fit one is to play PR.

ehm, my join date is irrelevant, im not the one passing judgment on anyones qualifications to play the mod
