New Insurgent weapon idea!

What about sticky bombs for the insurgents? Like little charges that can knock the tracks off a tank if put in the right spot and can also damage the tank. It would give the normal infantry a bit more AT capability. I hate being insurgents having my squad somewhere and having to hide from tanks because our RPG guy cant do shit to it since the RPGs pretty much just bounce off the Abrams.

There are several things that Insurgents need:

1. Vehicles! Insrugents need more insurgent only vehicles! Note: This could duble for the Malitia armies as well. Here are vehicles more in line with Insurgents:

Striped down cars:

These are vary comon in the middle east and are easy to come by and maintian. These often have armor plates grafted onto them and whole roof tops missing. They even sometimes camo them. Also in many cases these vehicles are modifide to do different things: IE some have Russian DSHKs on the backs of them and you use them by driving backwards. Others have small and cheap to buy anti-tank weapons on them like light breach loaded AT guns, and mortors.

Mobile MGs: IE MGs that are mounted on wheels and they simply roll them into place and start shooting. These would give the Insurgents great firepower and the ability to place it where they need it. Mind you it could also be a static weapon but it would still be sweet to have. You could make it so at a distance it's not too accurate, but that in close combat it's deadly.

Weapons: Insurgents use what ever they can get their hands on! This inculdes things like Mortors, and RPGs. I would love to see the fallowing added for the insurgents:

Mortors: These are vary comon and easy to use. They can be any size form the huge USMC 12 pownders, to even as small to fit in one hand. It would make maps that have these big arty guns on them much more realistic and fun as the player could place the mortor where he needs it and then fire away where he can shoot it. It was one of my favoret things to do in BFV and would be great to have it back. This one can be for all armies on these kind of light infantry only type maps we have so many of.

Suicide bombs: These are vary comon in the world today and often pleg real life troops to no end. It can be the size of a vest or even a car that has a bomb in it so all it's meant to do is be ramed into somthing and then explode.

1) BFV = bf vanilla? if yes, where are those mortars?
2) i think mortars are planned and will come and for sure the insurgents are gonna get some of em when they do

I like the mobile MG idea but I think that would be open to ALOT of abuse.

Well, the mobile MG would be restricted simply because you can't roll it up stairs or ladders, and most of the good Insurgents would be using the rooftops to their advantage. Besides, if it's treated as a vehicle, you could restrict the number on the map accordingly.

It's called an IED you twit.

And you want a car bomb either find the actual ones in the maps or just grab any vehicle, put C4 on the front, ram a tank, jump out and boom.

Mobile MGs: We have the toyota pickup with a 50 cal. and a mG in the passanger seat.

Weapons: RPG are already ingame, mortars have been suggested.

Mortors: Suggested before

just so you know, position specific damage isnt possible IIRC at this point. What I mean is that where a tank for example is disabled (Turret, movement, etc.) is random and not dictated by where it is hit.

IED's are the PERFECT weapon for insurgents as it is. Both Engy and Insurgent kits get them, and it only takes 2-3 to blow up a tank. Just sneak up, stick em on, and detonate. Just like your "sticky bombs".
