This is not a temp issue and I am not over-clocking my GF7950GT.

Does it only happen on the ground around Palace?

If not, then it looks to be towards your advantage.

No it happens all over. And what advantage exactly? Very funny.

I'm thinking its a driver issue. Anyone have something like this?

Hows about now? And btw, my GPU temp is never more than 70°C... Avg of ~65°C.

Meh, happens to people all the time. The BF2 engine just glitches when preparing and caching resources needed for the level. Usually wiping the engine cache and letting it reprocess everything next load fixes it all.

I have the same card and the same problem. Sometimes the entire screen is full with all kinds of **** making it impossible to see anything except for the ground.
Unfortunately I do not have any screenshots of this problem because everytime i take one, bf2 and my computer crashes.

Maybe it's just me, but a person dressed in brown really sticks out against blue ground.

That is one of those Olympic Style pools which our Congress funded over in Iraq for the Iraqi Police Academies. Good to see that it is actually getting some good use out of it now for the $1+ million it cost.

Lol. The screen shots I took were mild compared to some other corruption I was seeing - every time a cobra launched flares, there were these really thin shimmering lines that would follow the flare from the cobra till they disappeared.
Also, some parts of the city had no light, it looked like the Z-buffer was leaking into the back-buffer.

All sorts of weird and cool things can happen in BF2/PR. Remember that development screenshot of 0.5 where Al Basrah was completely engulfed in 1000 foot high bush. Had a building in Ejod Desert "polygon explosion" on me one time. :D Too bad I didn't get a screenshot of it though. Though not entirely the same, who can forget the standing corpses that continue to cough throughout the round.
