I have a special love for taking out enemy armor...it just feels nice to watch as "big bad Mr. Tank" rolls in, letting off a rocket into his tracks and laughing as the gunner tries to frantically swivel the turret around to catch the engy's/AT's trying to shoot/plant C4 on him and watching the tank catch fire and burn under our attacks, executing the crew if they try to make a run for it....makes me all tingly inside..
Yeah, anything that feels "epic" in this game, i.e. manning the LMG in the bunker and spraying suppressing fire while 3 full enemy squads charge your position in Mao Valley, seeing a Blackhawk spinning out of control after a dozen .50cal rounds and an RPG tear through it's tail rotor in Al Basrah, seeing insurgents scramble like roaches as the A10/Cobra strafes the enemy armor column....you know, the stuff they put in movies. God I love this mod.

Piloting transport helos, and piloting attack helos. I hate gunning, no one ever has the patience to just sit still while I search for targets :/
If not that, I do like squad playing, but at the same time, sometimes I just like to do something a little more solitary, like going behind the lines and wreaking havoc.

My personal favorites (and these aren't all unique to PR):
- Designating a strategically important CP to capture and hold the entire match, ideally against repeated enemy assaults.
- Having 6 people at once all actively focused on a single objective. e.g. On approach to a CP, telling them to let loose grenades and smoke, then seeing 12 grenades and 12 smoke grenades flying in salvos at our target before moving in to clean out the leftovers. Or establishing a covered line of fire using a hill on Helmand, mowing down assaulting enemy in open ground. Or patiently waiting for a clueless squad to walk into an ambush.
- Having a neighboring squad spot an enemy RP with 'enemy boat spotted' so other squads like mine can help take it out.
- Having squad members pass enemy contacts undetected (no jackass randomly popping off shots at the first glimpse of tangos) en rounte to our objective.
- As CO, leveraging two or more squads to assault or defend a position while supporting each other.

playing as insurgents , hopefully having Juniper in my team, becuase I know I can rely on him to handle a squad correctly.
and then I make a small anti air squad, myself I am the ammo guy and the other two guys have teh SA 7, we find a nice location by village and constantly harass the usmc cobra and A 10 cowards...
there have been many times , when we have been so sucessful at this that the usmc go close to having less than 50 tickets or even none at all... I find with out air support the usmc are complete cowards and get owned by teh insurgents at village...
its so good to see a coward cobra come over, hoping to own the insurgents scurry off back to base after taking a hit in the butt....
but for this to work I have to rely on my team being at village and defending it... this is where Juniper comes in , as he make sure his squad is there, and we help each other out, he sorts teh ground , whilst my small anti air squad sorts out the air..
once village has been taken, hopefully usmc have bleeded most of tickets by now ... hurry off to facility and take defensive positions !!!
great fun!!!!!!!

a little late in this thread and well.. the entire forum, i think this is my first post.
katiewolf is my most favoritest thing in pr
kidding, they are a good commander / player, but sometimes its funny to see the arguments he or she gets into..
actually, flying the A-10 and providing close air support, it is the best when you are in a squad alone or just the two A-10 pilots and have a commander that sits at the base and just spots targets and gives a order for attack and accepting them, then relays important information (i.e. hit the rooftop at this marker) and confirms if the hits are successful over voip. also spots where the SA-7s are coming from, normally give a coordinate to look at and he will find them! evil hamas_xxx! ALSO taking out ALL BRIDGES in al basrah, i try to get A-10 pilots to do it, but none ever seem to, if im in the air they are all going to be taken out, and if someone repairs one im right there to destroy it and kill them
second most fun to do is being the tank driver.. its pretty satisfying when you have a gunner go without death and take first at the end of the round, its also really cool to see the tank explosions when a gunner destroys enemy armor, it is especially great when you are both on vent together, i just wish that the tank commander could have an unmanned external gun and some kind of zooming sight system to spot enemy armor, then somehow mark that location and have the gunner hit a button to switch to that next target, but anyways.. another post someday.. its also great when you take both tanks with all 4 of the crew are on vent, just need another to drive the repair vehicle. which brings me to my next.. any map when the the team has a convoy of armor fully manned moving from point to point, im not talking about each tank has 1 driver that stops and switches to gunner, its gets insane, ive driven the repair hmmwv with these convoys before and actually got quite a few points repairing after an rpg teams attempt.. but its also one of the worst things i want to see when im an insurgent! almost impossible to take out unless the server is full.. ive seen a m1 take 6 rpgs and keep driving! and they were clean hits.. normally if we damage them they just drive back out of the city limits and then repair.. i think the insurgent death cars need some more explosives.. like the same effect the explosive truck has.. but without getting team damage for blowing it up.. its ridiculous, unless thats 'hard coded' by dice?
also sniping is pretty fun, ive had some good rounds sitting back with the double zoom, its much more satisfying to get one shot kills with a sniper rifle, like they should be.. than vanilla bf2s lameness. but by far armor / a-10 are my most favorite activities in PR. also when i play as an insurgent i will sometimes have a really **** kill death ratio but im still having fun.. so it doesn't matter
i love PR
