I think the A10 is too slow, i am damn sure it would stall at the speeds it does over AL basara SO HOW are you going to correctly model the a plane capable of 3 times the speed????? You are not, i know those planes absolutely rock but, for me, planes are really only a welcome adition, rather than a must for fun to be had.
Although a 2 seater plane would be extremely fun to operate........good luck DEVs on those 4km maps, our only hope!

I miss the two seater planes immensely. Laser guided missile on the F15 and Sukoi's were so much fun. It required a lot of cooperation from pilot and co pilot and it should be brought back.
But I think the SOFLAM should designate laser targets and the bomber co pilot could then lock onto that and fire the missiles accordingly.

The Plane your talking about you want on Al Basrah Is a F-15E Strike Eagle. The Ground attack Variant of the F-15C, Also i should think you should know that IRL Basrah is heald by the British. Anyways the Chinese Ground attack is the Su-30 MKIII, both the Su-30 and F-15E are kinda smilier in roles. If you want Realism in Al Basrah put the Brits in with Tornado Gr4s and Lynx's. The MEC already are using the wrong ground attack attack Aircraft as the Su-25 by 2010 (or near) WIll be very outdated, its current Version the Su-25T Features a Small LAser Designater Mounted in the nose of the Aircraft allowing for Precision Munitions to be mounted including air to air Missiles. But im just a guy around here who is a Aircraf Nut Head so Dont mind me.

Listen to the man. He speaks the truth.
I'd like to see some more updated kit for the MEC, not just for the US. How about NH90 helicopters instead of ye olde Mi-17? Saudi-Arabia are using them, and Oman, too, I believe.

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

I think two seaters such as the F-15E, F/A-18F, and F-16D would be great for CAS in PR ... pilot can focus on flying and wouldn't have to do unrealistic dives towards the enemy for an effective attack run due to the Weapons Systems Officer being able to direct the bombs in an extremely lethal manner.

What I'd like to see is a second seat in the A-10. Give him a 360 degree view from the belly. That way he can be SL and scan for targets and assign attack commands, while the pilot/gunner focuses on straffing without crashing.

The Brits shoudnt use the F35 othewise the Dev team making the Current Harrier would have no need for it, the F35 ( which i dispise but i am being clean with this so you know) is not due to enter Service with the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm until 2015 this is far after 2010 and as such if the Devs want a use for the Harrier They are makeing they will want to Use it otherwise expect It to be a wasted Project and i would hate to see that.

"It is intended that the Harrier force be completely replaced by the Future Joint Combat Aircraft (FJCA) also referred to as the Joint Strike Fighter which is due to enter service in 2012 and be operated from the Royal Navy's Future Aircraft Carriers (CVF)."

The JSF probably won't be widely used, but it may be an idea to place it in maps where more advanced technology would be used (e.g. Afghanistan).
