Squad Leaders picking kits for squad.

Post by Guerra »

I'd like to see the option of squad leaders to be able to pick the kits for the squad.

Now this isn't always the best case, but it would be nice so there aren't any of those selfish snipers joining a squad. It could be a server option for the harder core servers. So the squad leader can restrict special kits or at least when members of the squad spawn, there is a list of kits the squad leader wants filled.
Example:
SL wants two medics, a rifleman, AT gun, and support. So when someone is picking their kit and spawn point, they can pick one of those. Once they do, that kit is removed. So if they go medic, only 1 more med kit is available.

Also, totally unrelated to the topic, I think there should be an infantry officer kit and a crewman officer kit, so officers can enter and drive around tanks and command from within them while still having the advantage of the binoculars, the extra field health kits and the ability to drop rally points.

You gotta be strict if you're an SL.

I think a vehicle squad leader is needed for the pure armor squads to give the SL the versatility he needs to fight a squad of tanks or apcs.

There is a problem with this idea though. Many times I have been forced to join the last available squad, only to find that the squad leader is a complete moron or n00b who has either has no idea how to lead, or doesn't even respond to his teammates. So in this example, how am I supposed to request a kit from this person?

If the squad leader is a moron, then you suffer with whatever crappy kit he decides.

Remember, there are good leaders and bad leaders in the army too.

Then you leave the squad...

I think squad leaders assigning kit is a good idea, it will attract the right kinda players, team players. Worth some thought.

yea this is good idea, we need to make the SLer a real complex and thought out like commader almost. give them more things to do so a **** SLer has a terrible squad but a good one has a amazing squad.
