Sometimes its too hard to tell which flag is next.
Since a lot of maps have irregular assault and secure paths, which results in players not knowing what the hell to do.
My solution is simple. Make it so flags that CAN be captured are highlighted in Orange (since thats the attack colour) and flags that are to be defended are highlighted in purple.
It would help integrate newer players faster and wouldn't confuse experienced players like me.
I don't want to have to memorize the counter-intuitive attack paths on all maps.
The little HQ message telling you where to attack and defend is sometimes misleading (Steel Thunder) and sometimes you miss the message and you're not sure. It should be a constant thing.
Anyways, I would really appreciate support for this idea, because it is a problem. In Al Basrah in particular where players don't know what they are suppose to defend or attack.
Thanks.

Bosco, the problem is that I've been playing this game for sometime, and a lot of maps have very counter intuitive attack paths. Some flags LOOK like they should be next when they aren't. Muttrah City is a perfect example of this.
I'm glad you know which flag is next, but this isn't for AWESOME LEET DOODS who know everything. This is a courtesy for new and confused players.
It wouldn't require much work at all to do this, maybe a few lines of code and it would benefit the greater community, would probably reduce the amount of players standing on the wrong flag because they don't know how it works.

v0.6 has markers on the map to indicate which flags your team should be defending and which flags you should be attacking.
We'll probably remove the text messages to further minimise the spam.
The current graphics for the markers need a lil work, and there might be some bugs in the code for them, but we'll sort those out in testing.

Thats pretty solid idea right there....nice work. Is it almost like a stop light red,yellow,green??'[R-DEV wrote:eggman']v0.6 has markers on the map to indicate which flags your team should be defending and which flags you should be attacking.

Wouldn't it be easier to simply leave some place in the upper left corner for the HQ's orders about attacking/defending? I don't know exactly what you're planning with those indicators -- and how far have you gone with that -- but multiple coloured lines can be confusing too.'[R-DEV wrote:eggman']v0.6 has markers on the map to indicate which flags your team should be defending and which flags you should be attacking.

Why not remove ALL text (chats) from the main screen? I mean if you want to talk to another squad use the commander OR open up squads to be allowed to talk to each other (if possible)'[R-DEV wrote:eggman']We'll probably remove the text messages to further minimise the spam.
