I don't mind nearly as much when these things are used on infantry at a FAR distance because a proper squad formation, spacing and movement/observation with regard to the terrain cover therein can usually minimize any really severe squad damage and allow us to setup a proper LUP and repost before getting wipped out with an AT rocket. Granted the 5 second reload exploit is a real cause of grief though.

What really pisses me off these days is the amount of people using the AT/GL in QCB. It's like an automatic process that seems to repeat itself with many people (do you even realize you're doing it!?). 1) See enemy like 20m away 2) Bust out GL/AT 3) BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! If you're lucky and it misses you then usually it's true you can end up shooting him down before he can get is rifle back out but some of these people are getting pretty damn super-fast at pulling up their GL/AT's (just like in nilla' it comes down to pure reaction time). Heck, I see loads of people just running around with those weapons perpetually equipped... *just in case* right... eugh.... gameyness! Image

For anyone wanting to know what a LUP is it's a "Lie-Up Position"

Well, I guess I am just confused why the Eryx is also called "The Eryx short-range anti-armour missile."

I also found out that the optics on the Eryx only use a 1x zoom, not 2x. It also uses thermal imaging to see it's targets from such long range. So as of now it's unrealistic to have a 2x zoom.

I think it's fine. Just fix the reload exploit. Both teams have the heavy AT, so what's the big deal? And I don't think we need to add backblast for heavy AT. Light AT needs it of course. But doesn't heavy AT usually use solid plastic expulsion to minimize backblast?

the heavy at weapon of the USMC is the SRAW(shoort range assault weapon) , this weapon dont have a double zoom and is very light , isnt a oneshoot-onekill AT weapon

the eryx is compared to the javaline , very heavy and with double zoom and IS a AT dedicate , it can blow a tank with one shoot .

im suggesting give the USMC 2 sraws with one zoom and for mecs only one missil with double zoom and a powerfull warhead.

The SRAW is just a placeholder until the javelin is polished off.

In v0.6 we fixed the reload exploit and we are getting only 1 level of zoom that is a 2x magnification so you can see a little more further away than the naked eye.

plz dont remove the sraw , make it a pick upable kit but dont remove it :(

dont add more reload time , just more rearm time , and give the heavy AT only one missil (because in real life a missils of eryx/javaline weight a lot)

Just I want to point out the fact that a round able to destroy a tank can destroy flesh and bones too.
A weapon is a weapon, and it's not made to be fair.

The SRAW was made as a replacement for the old LAW rocket launchers. It has no thermal sights and is used for takeing out light vehicles. It's not a heavy AT gun. The AT-4 is brand new and has not been fully deployed in the USMC like it is in PR. It's mostly used by US Army SF troops and special Operations forces, on top of that it's not used at all as an anti-tank weapon. It's used to bust open bunkers and other static targets. It lacks the power of weapons like the SRAW, SMAW. We need the SMAW and the USMCs heavy AT weapons.

The AT-4 is a bunker buster thats it. It fires only a HE round. The SRAW is used as a lighter anti-tank weapon, and can fire AT or HE rounds, just like the SMAW can.

I think some things can't be avoided. Its game and not reality. If in reality infantry had unlimited ammo (due to supply crate or ammo guy ;) ) then they could use sraw against infantry. In reality tho you have 1 to 2 rockets, and they are needed to kill the armour target. It's to be or not to be for troops on war when they meet the tank. So problem isn't in reloading etc. problem is in ammo avaiblity...
On second hand, in reality tanks don't respawn ;)
I like to see realistic optics for all weapons. Im working as army technician on optics department. Repairing, clearing binoculars etc. I have acces to some stuff (old couse Im Polish and my army is not well equiped). I think some t72, bmp (brdm) interiors or optics I could document and send you guys. It would take time for bunch of reasons but if you need any of help with optics give me a know. If I wouldn't know I can ask specialists (Im quite new worker).
Keep the good work.
