ive just come off Devfiel 24/7 Albasrah and i had an A-10 squad up, firstly my squad member was shot down by a tank. Then 20 seconds later the same happened to me. We both hped in the cobra and we had been locked on by a S-A7 my pilot swang out of the way only to be hit by ANOTHER TANK!
I think i can understand an cobra being shot down by 2 A-10's nah i dont think so.
It reallly is quite easy to down aircraft though with the tanks. its because of the unrealistic altitudes but we cant rly do anything about that.
Not so much learn to fly(yes you are flying too low aswell lol) but learn to think. what is an A10 very good at? destroying armour. You can get the hostile armour in the 1st 5mins of the match.

Fly higher and faster, when you see a square pop up you can't engage it on that pass, so swing around and do a high angle dive attack run on the tank. Could a tank shoot down an A-10 IRL? Well, if the A-10 was doing strafing runs with its gear and flaps down probably. The only problem is that IRL they don't get much practice at it. In this game they do. A 120mm HEAT round would knock just about anything out of the air.
I think this is all good as my experiences from Basrah were that vehicles are just unworthy food for planes. Reports like this are good to see because they show that there really is a balance in the game.
Yep I think it was my Iraqi armor brigade ARMOR VOIP squad. We had 4 t62s in a certain hiding spot, a 10 came and got one of our tanks, but me, Leoking, and some cheeky british guy shot the a 10.
We later moved N of the river, and shot down a cobra.
Don't fly slow and straight at their guns. Just don't fly a 10 in teh first place
CDU just modded their server with more armor, no A-10 on Basrah. My squad had a T-64 and were owning M-1's that were coming down one at a time (we'd manuver behind them and slap the ******'s in the butt with SABOT or catch them coming over a dune in the belly). It wasn't until they sent 3 at once that we got taken out. Cobra's hovering were also food for my gunner. A well played insugent team can use those vehicles quite well, especially if they take out the A-10's early on and keep them on their heels. The only problem is the dumb noobs that keep moving spawn cars out from the cover.

oi i aint cheeky ma son
lol only joking
yeah was a realy long round that was, lucky realy im suprised we didnt move in from the east of airport a bit closer so that we could catch them as they were landing/taking off, and i kow you said that they could strafe us as they came in but we could have at least had a chance if we set up a spotter on the bridge to the south east.
Yep, shame yours is too big Liquid_Cow Off a part of it comes.
Flying the A-10s and knocking T-72's out is a piece of piss, just nose dive so the only chance they have is some 7.62mm. When they use the 7.62mm launch Hydra's.
