Commo Rose Alt fire

Instead of having the FIRE key activate the commo rose, any way of making it the ALT fire key. I don't know how many times I've gone to request kits forgetting that I havent joined a squad yet, and end up firing into the back of a friendly or shooting a rocket into a crowd.

you can remap your keys to your liking, in the options.

I don't think you understand.

The FIRE key, no matter how I remap it, is used to interact with the commo rose.

Or when you spot something, except you do it too fast because you're being shot at and you want to be able to move around again,and you accidentally fire off an AT rocket.

guys... if youre spotting something... you cant look at the ground. unless you want to spot the ground...

We're not talking about spotting, we're talking about requesting a kit, or saying thank you, which I don't heear often BTW!

nor can you look at the sky, because then it doesnt do a damn thing, then sometimes when i try to spot someone really far away it thinks im spotting my own guys that are infront of me but closer then the target, it really pisses me off. the 1942 commands need to be busted out because you get like 20 more of them and none of the bull shit happens, well, spotting can be left to Q and click but the rest need 1942 sweetness.

or we just need a "stop" or "Wait" for APCs and stuff, a Cover me would be nice aswell.

If you're spotting something, it wont be friendly, and you'll have a clear line of site. Shooting friendlies wont be a problem, will it.

well with T, i agree. that requests kits, which is something youre not usually rushed to do. but to say thank you or spot, you have to press Q, which is usually rushed, so you can start lighting the enemy up.

and it could be friendly even if you are spotting it. problem is, if you shoot at a friendly on accident, chances are theyre going to shoot back. the only way to tell is to study their uniform or to spot. and if you accidentally shoot instead of spot.. well i already went over that.

Hence making the Alternate fire key interact with the commo rose instead of the FIRE key will prevent friendly fire and unintentional pulling of the trigger.

I'm still not sure everyone gets it.

If i hold q, commo rose comes up. If i want to spot, I must press my FIRE key. It would be better if I had to press my alternate fire key... that way i dont mistakenly shoot someone. Would work during kit requests, spotting, saying ty to the medic whos laying infront of you before you accidently shoot him.. etc

Well.. I get your point, but I think it's up to the players to adept here, not the game, since it's cause by "quickly doing this" or "quickly doing that".

The next thing would be; shite, I look through my scope if I request a kit to quickly

Well its better to look through the scope accidentally than to fire off an AT rocket accidentally

It happens occasionally but it seems like every time it does happen, you do something bad

ALT fire would take some time to get used to but it would be a better solution.

Happens to me to sometimes. Would be cool if there was a whole other key for spotting really. But there isn't so, whatever, get over it and just be careful.
