Specialty Kit: French Soldier
ba dum dum!

Seriously though, the only way I could see individual surrender working would be like so.

30 sec after individual surrender, you are sent to wait in a prison screen, a la AA's brig.

This prison must be incorperated into the map somehow, a destructable structure or a cap'able flag. If the structure is destroyed or flag capped, prisoners are free to immediately respawn. Kinda like jail break.

If a surrendering player is killed the other team also loses tickets for the dishonorable act and that individual is free to respawn wait free.

Surrendering does not remove tickets from a teams count, only prevents a player from respawning until his jail is liberated. That would be the only incentive I can see so far. Having an active jail with prisoners would give another flag to gaurd, add some spice to the game.

Surrendering players are no longer visible on their teams map/radar. They appear on the opfors map as yellow dots.

Might as well introduce a new specialty kit: MP
You are able to take critically wounded enemies as prisoners.
Now, taking prisoners from the battle field reduces the size of the enemy force until they do a jail break.

Anywho, this could be developed further, but chances are it'll turn out impossible thanks to the versitile BF2 engine. That and it might add a game dynamic that is not fun.. being prisoner on a team thats too crappy to jail break you.

Switch, don't think that would really work well as part of the AAS2 gamemode. Though it's not a bad suggestion, could be a game mode of it's own. (with some other different stuff too)

I think it would be nice if there could be a teamvote to surrender, for example when it's clear your team is going to lose and your stuck on the carrier with the whole team.
Sounds good, but I guess some ppl will start a "surrender-vote" if they don't like the current map. So at least half of a team should vote yes to surrender. But in reality the soldiers of a battle don't have such choice. It's the commanders who might surrender to the enemy. If soldiers get the ability to surrender, this won't help the team! So if one squad always tries to surrender in difficult situations the battle won't be won. Plus the commander get's frustrated.
The longer I think about a surrendering option, the more I don't like it.

I wouldn't see the USMC surrendering anytime soon. They do not leave their wounded behind and it would also be a boring option. Something might be able to be done about the tickets and simulating a capture with tickets or something, but come on, is this really necessary?
