PR trainer
we have a few departements in the pr community such as r-fads, r-devs, r-pubs and any others i have missed.
and i have noticed alot of people have complained about the amount of
"n00bs" there are so i think its about time we set up a special team of people who can teach and train the newbies out of us, but also train those who are experienced new advanced war techniques.
this is only a suggestion and i am in no way wanting to be head of this departement if it is made(maybe mongol would like to step into that seat)
any ideas on this are most welcome especialy from the Devs who will have to confirm it.

I think the community itself is doing these things already; there are squad trainings, commander trainings, some guy just posted a thread today about how to train noobs (which more people try to do lately), so... things are solving themselves, I guess
.
And 0.6 is on its way, which may freak out the "i just wanna kill"-peeps.

Tutorials
There is very good tutorials to read.
My first experience with PR was to read those.

The post above: Views: 661..1. Join a squad
2. Work as a team use your common sense to figure out what class is needed and use it.
3. Being rambo doesn't work in this mod.
4. Ammo packs can take up to 9 seconds to resupply you wait for them to work.
5. Ammo packs don't resupply veichels.
6. Ask for advice.
Other than this remeber you die very easily use cover ask for smoke from people who have it. Ask teammates what they need. Rember points don't matter working as a team does. When playing a game Assualt or support is a good class to play for a little bit to get used to playing. Always use cover as cover not as something to run to but as something to fire from. Support class is use to lay down suppresive fire to allow your team to advance not be to rambo. Spec Ops class c4 is timed this means after you lay it you have 30 seconds before it blows also it's a lot weaker meant to destroy anything below and including a APC pretty useless agaisnt tanks. Medic class has six revives. Other than that make sure you read the readme before playing

I'm not sure that this is necessary as of yet. It is a good idea, don't get me wrong. I just think that all of us as supporters of this community should step up and answer questions, help train, basically be productive useful members of this community. Sure it's easy to come to the forums and post about how much the noobs a ruining this game. But other then complaining about them, what are you doing to help educate and train them?

“r-fads” lol
The [PR]RFAD tag belongs to players from the Project Reality Tournament team R.F.A.D. of the previous campaign. RFAD and ARRC players are frequently on, and we’re mostly very experienced at PR and thrive on teamwork.
To anyone looking to improve their PR gaming I’d strongly recommend checking out the tournament. If you have the time to commit, it will always be possible to push your skills forward within the tournament environment. We take on many noobs and turn lots of them into squad operating killing machines
. A new campaign is getting started and signups are now open!
Often our RFAD squads fill up with people joining us on teamspeak and we frequently have to make room in our squad for these guys, so apologies to anyone kicked from the squad without reason (we usually try to say we’re making room for friends). If there is room in our squad though feel free to join, we appreciate playing with good people and it’s nice to make new friends.
FAQ with lots of info about the tournament:

hmm not about picking up kits, bit more complicated
i think that a lot of community want to help but we are moving slowly towards the point where squads will be using tactical manoevers.
generally people are wanting a more military like game, where you can call in airstrikes from pilots whithout beeing in the same squad or it being a thralling experience of riding through a "hot zone".
so to make this more of a idea than a wish, you need to train these people with manoevers that are likely to make the game more interesting.
there are simple things such as crossing roads that make it a more military like game, generally people just run across and forget to place smokes or leave somebody behind to protect them as they cross(this would be especialy useful on airport)
El-vickingo has posted some interesting topics on the tactical manoevers that can be performed, these need to be repeated over and over before you get used to them.
also the PR community is doing a good job BUT each and every person has their own style of teaching so the new people to the community will learn only the things that particular person favors.
so we need people who will teach manoevers and basic infantry drill when coming under fire or coming to obstacles.

ops: just realised that lol

Isn't the Squad Leader training program already doing something like that?
Anyway, we are so many military cultures (and non military too) in a community like this, that some will have a more western approach and others a more eastern approach. Some will have a mix of both approaches.
But the more we debate the issue and angle the teaching methods, the closer we get to something universal useful.

Define irony. A bunch of guys playing PR year after year. A game teaching initiative as the prime mover.
However, in regard to EA, these guys never took the initiative.

ive heard you are setting up a commander training programme of some kind mike, and alot of people seemed interseted.
this would be even more interesting if you had a set of useful "controlable" people to form a squad on the other team to do what you wanted, so you wont have something unexpected, and if they were informed to lose they would do so, making AAS a bit more meaningful to the commander because then he has to inform the squad to prepare for a counter attack giving them a defend icon.
and to make them identifiable you would have R-trainer in front of their name.
also if you were to make it known that when you joined someone with that infront of their names you can excpect to be trained.

er...hehe,
I dont feel like im the man for the job.
I think someone like Fuzzhead(dont want to throw anymore on his plate than he already has lol) would be more suitable for teh_job.
I recomend him because, well....hes already doing it. He sets up training sessions on the forums which is great, but i have a feeling its just teaching the taught. The maj of the people on this forum seem to be able to do many things required to make PR fun and realistic at the same time.
I think perhaps setting up squads called TUTORIAL would be nice, then syping into TEAM chat "Hey, anyone want to learn _ _ _.Im a dedicated PR 'trainer'(could be a better word)???"
Dont forget to kick the guys that refuse to respond or piss about.
...mongol...

i couldnt think of anything better really PR trainer is simple and straight to the point.
hmm fuzzhead does seem to be training people at the moment and he knows what hes doing.
but he isnt going to be able to teach every one.
maybe about 64 every three hours and thats just on one topic such as commanding or AAS in more detail.
so he needs to get people to help him out.
so we need a team of people who are willing to help out.
this could be the whole community just putting PR trainer infront of their name once in a while and joining a server which has a lesson on it. enabling the teacher to take command of them and put them into positions which the trainees can attack or suppress or something.
