Call In Air Support

Post by jwflowersii »

I would like the ability for squad leaders to set a waypoint for air support. That way even if someone else is flying in an A-10 and there is no commander he could still see the position of the target. Also would be nice if you could have a Forward Air Controller kit that could talk with the pilots and direct the air support.

Just my thoughts,
John

P.S. Great MOD!!!!

I was thinking for multiple "types" of reinforcements button. So, when you press and hold the Q button for the commo rose, we should be able to highlight reinforcement/support button and right click on it to have the different types of reinforcements. For example:
Air support
Tank support
Boat Support
AA support
etc...

The best way is to allow the SLs to see the orders of the other squad leaders on the H.U.D.

In such close quaters action they will know what the other is doing.

This will not retard the respect of the Commander. The CO will need to still o.k. the strike.

If a squad member is in the A-10, the Jet Squad leader can pull up the hud and duplicate the excact spot the infantry squad leader requested the Air Support.

All this assumes there is no CO. However, I have a feeling come .6 COs will be plentiful.

They're working on the air support markers, possibly in the form of an IR marker.

having the squad leader set a marker where the squad needs air support works just fine the way it is now, but an individual air support marker other than the squads orders would be cool also.. glad to hear its in the works wasteland

i know when i've played Commander, and wanted air support, you can place like a demolitions marker on the place you want it. If you are SL though, get someone in the squad to be a pilot of the a-10 and do the same thing, the squad will just be 1 man short.
