An idea for picking up fallen kits.

Post by Superior Mind »

I think that when you pick up a fallen kit from the ground, you should be able to only switch your primary weapon. I don't think it is realistic to be able to take all of an enemies dropped equipment in the heat of battle, especially when it comes to AT and engineer kits. For instance, if you are an American rifleman, and you pick up an insurgent kit, you would only replace your M16 for an AK47.

its an issue we have. When modding a game, there is only so much you can do! It's a good idea though!

I really, really, really wanted that but I didn't post knowing the BF2 engine would most likely make it impossible. Still a great suggestion and worth asking.

Edit*
I just had a revelation; would it be possible to make kits impossible to pick up from corpses while still making it possible to pick up requested kits? What I mean is that corpses would not drop kits any longer and the only way to get a kit would be to spawn with it or request it. Instead though corpses would drop their gear which you would be able to stand by and rearm. I suppose you should only be able to do this postmortem.

Is El_Vikingo a real person or a forum bot whose sole purpose is to lambast people for not using the search?

He's a bot. Aspires to be a competitor to Google one day. Such a cute little bot.

That has also been suggested before.

Please use the search function in the future.

(BTW, my Sig is LOMAC, it took me a couple of tries to get it right.)

To be honest, I hate the search function. I usually go by what I do and don't remember being posted and that usually works fine.

If I didn't post on it, it didn't happen.
