Hello.
I am a proud owner of a AMD4000+ running a Geforce 7800GTX.
I love my 20" inch wide aspect Dell LCD (model 2005FPW)
i play BF2 in widescreen using "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050"
In the game I would use 1152x864 as my selected resoultion. I play BF2 with no problems in all its widescreen glory.
when I had PRMM earlier versions installed, PRMM would kick out to the desktop after i would start game.
No problems with PRMM in 3:4 aspect resolutions.
I WOULD LIKE TO SEE PRMM IN WIDESCREEN!
WIDESCREEN FOR PRMM

Try reducing your lighting settings.
It has been found out that a high setting of lighting can cause some of these frustrating CTDs.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know you have a monstermachine and a graphicscard I'll be able to get once in a blue moon, but try to lower the lighting to medium or even low and see if it works. If not, well then that was not the problem....

Love it. Great responce time (8ms), good contrast, good brightness, its awsome now. A ton better playing at 1280x860 than 1024x768.
Anyway I had the same problem in a way...What happens if you put your PRMM shortcut target folder at +szx 1152 +szy 864?
