Manual Falg Nutrelise (ENCOURAGES TEAMWORK!)

Post by henno13 »

hey guys!
i just thought up somthing
in PR right now dont you wonder what is taking the flag down?
why cant you get one guy, prss e beside a flag and he starts taking it down
that way he cant go lone wolf and take the falg cuz hell die
he need is m8s to cover him
also you could make it faster if he stands up (open to enemy snipers etc.)
make it half the speed when crouched (a little less view)
and then make it go as slow as hell when prone (lots of cover)

not a bad idea but not sure if its able to be changed / worth the amount of work it would take.

I would love to see something like this.. though I assume capturing a point is more a case of securing a location rather than actually raising the flag. :)

I had considered asking about adding in X locations around a flag that had to be activated, akin to "Securing the area".

I'm not sure about leaving a player idle while a flag has to be captured. Taking a flag is basically saying that the team that captured has tactical superiority in that single area, but not neccessarily complete control. As it is, the two teams can both be in the CP area, but one team can have enough people to pull the flag in their direction, forcing the other team to really make a move.

If you havnt noticed, most PR maps now are without 'Flags'... trying to get away from that concept, and more into the idea of 'Area Control'.

in addition to what Fuzz says flag actions in PR require a minimum of 2 people (at least the default settings are like this).

The flag capturing is just symbolic.
