A moment of silence to remember...

Post by Paladin-X »

...the victims, the fire fighters, the policemen of September 11, 2001.

Canada will fly her flags at half-mast today, in remembrance of the tragedy that our southern brothers and sisters faced.

God Bless America and her fallen brave.

I mention Canada because I'm from Canada. :P I don't know how other countries handle this day. PS we flew our flags at half-mast for the london tragedy as well.

I remember waking up that day on base and seeing that on TV. First i thought the tower was on fire. Then when i seen the second plane crash into the other tower i knew something was wrong.

Originally I heard that a plane had crashed into the towers, but I was assuming a scenic plane such as a Cessna. Then I saw the damage it did and didn't know what to think anymore.

i remember exactly where i was, walking through the halls at school and they announcied it on the intercom, didnt realize how serious it was till i got home and watched the news. after that i was amazed that the teachers at some schools had let rumors go wild with the kids... things got so out of hand that some scenarios included the space shuttle hitting a tower.

i guess thats one of the most shocking things to me if you can believe it. i wish all those affected well.

I was at work and a buddy of mine heard it on the radio. He came over to tell me that 1 of the towers was hit by a plane. At first I thought that it was some dumb drunken pilot, until my buddy came back and told me another plane hit the other tower. I didn't do much work that day. I spent most of it sitting by the radio.

thats true, though besides a boost in patriotism (which actually imo, got a little out of hand for some people) i cant say much good has come from this unfortunately.

yeah, thats all true and i agree, but i think ive seen a rift torn between america and some of her allies due to the sort of gung-ho mentality there is going on....

anywa, back to the topic: its been a fast 4 years and again, i wish everyone touched by this tragedy the best possible.

I agree. And we cannot forget the incidents across the world and, most recently, my City London. God bless not just America, but all those who have been struck by this evil.
