Sand bags
I don't know if this has been brought up before but people told me to come to the forums and ask about it.
In any map that has sandbag bunkers and/or barriers, when I get closer to the sandbags they start to look all wavy almost like a liquid. This problem doesn't happen to me in Vanilla BF2 so I'm assuming it has something to do with the mod. Plus it didn't happen before v0.5. It happens in all maps with sandbags. If there's an easy answer to fixing this, which is what i gathered from people's answers in game, that would be great, but if this is a new report I can give you my specs and w/e else is needed after a reply.
Thanks,
EB

Same problem
I have a Nvidia 7950GT 512MB PCI-E with the latest 93.71 drivers.
I had the same problem on my 7600GS.
It must have something to do with the texture data (and/or how it eventually gets passed to the graphics card), as all the other textures are fine.
Basically it looks like there has been a cube-mapped reflective texture applied to the object.

If i use my standard drivers, or the newest i still get it sometimes..Outlaw22 wrote:It's a graphics card problem, if you havn't already, try updating your graphics drivers to the latest and see if that helps.

Yeah it happens to me too, 7900GT and latest drivers. Also, if there is some sort of terrain, like dirt, mounded up against a wall, it will shrink in height as I get close and closer to it.

I have an X1900XT with the latest drivers, and this happens to me a lot as well, but for me it only happens on the small rock walls, such as the ones in Al Basrah (in fact, now that I think of it, I havent had it in any other map that I can recall, though it is very likely that I have). It doesnt happen to me in vBF2, nor any other game, and only since .5 does it do this.
That happens to me as well whenever this occurs.Expendable Grunt wrote:Also, if there is some sort of terrain, like dirt, mounded up against a wall, it will shrink in height as I get close and closer to it.

i wish my computer did that. I'm sure it's annoying. If drive cleaner and a physical reinstall of the gfx card doesn't help what happens after a full windows reinstall? Especially if you've upgraded at any point.
Apologies for all the advice posts but surely if everyone had these problems you'd say it was the game, Random player bugs are generally gonna be windows/hardware issues.
