APC spawning revisited

Makes perfect sense, whilst they could do this on new models easily, not sure if they can edit the vBF2 models like that.

Would be cool if they can.

I have lost many APC's because of the people sitting in the gunners turret.

(Yes I know I was driving the APC alone, but the other 25 players were waiting for hte planes.)

IMO one manning an APC isnt as bad as one manning a tank, i am much more inclined to do the former.

Park the apc near a flag needing defense, but far enough away that you should be safe for the most part, then man the gun and protect your spawn point. THink of it more like babysitting than going out and trying to hunt by yourself.

It's a simple solution and that is why I think it is not easy to do, else it would already be done.

why not just lock the driver and gunner seat if you dont have a crewman kit?

Because they can't obviously. The devs have stated multiple times that the only way to keep people from these seats is to kill them.

There is a flaw in current system where just spawned non-crewmans can move the APC enough to make it vulnerable to enemy fire, not to mention people spawning in turret position after you move it back to where it was.

Yeah...good idea. Another thing at spawning in the drivers seat is that the APC's engine starts up and is a huge give away that someone's just spawned.

its also gay when people spawn in on it and it turns on the engine so there is a continuous on off on off on off of the apc and it gives its local away which sucks on mondo maps where you have to drive 10 miles to get the APC hidden.

What pisses me off is when an idle guy keeps spawning in your damn APC, and you're trying employ some PSM, but sometime you just need to drive away because the area's too heaty. But you can't. Luckily I only really play on DevFile these days, so I can just kick them when they're like that 8)
