I need to be slapped.
Was on =CDU= just a few moments ago. We where playing the Road to Kugon Ni or whatnot, and the US was getting beaten badly (full BH's being smashed into the trees...)
Anyways I got a pilot kit to be a backup pilot in a LB, and we where being attacked by a few PLA guys. So I run and hide, shoot one and we all finish the job and get ready to deploy again.
So I pick up a better kit to go and fight, mean to switch to ammo and drop it all around the LB where people are clustering, accidentially threw a grenade instead...like 9-10TK's...
D'oh.

Heh, I've done similar, Hills of Hamyong, was hanging back a bit behind my squad, saw enemies advancing over a ridge, and tossed a nade over the hill to take em out... over the same ridge my squad just went over... 5-insta-TKs
Dunno had some sort of stupid mental block understanding the following equation:
1. Ridge + bad guys + squadmates marching over said ridge + my grenade ≠ dead bad guys
2. Ridge + bad guys + squadmates marching over said ridge + my grenade = 5 TKs & 0 dead bad guys
:/
1. Ridge + bad guys + squadmates marching over said ridge + my grenade ≠ dead bad guys
2. Ridge + bad guys + squadmates marching over said ridge + my grenade = 5 TKs & 0 dead bad guys
:/

I've done worst... I was in a full BH with a great VOIP squad, the BH got hit by a RPG so I said "don't worry I will repair it !". I was lagging so instead of using my wrench I used my C4 and detonated it... killing my squad and the BH...
Once I was grenadier, insurgents were shooting at us from a roof so I fire a grenade, it bounced on the wall and killed me +2 friendliy

my personal favorite is taking the cobra wayyyyy too low to avoid fire... live through all the fire, to get wiped out on pulling out of a tight street, or by friendly fire on the way out, or even better... getting back to the repair pad, rotating to my right/left, and hitting something with the boom just a bit too hard, taking out my chopper.

Yep, I'd have to agree. That's definately worthy of a few slaps.Expendable Grunt wrote:Was on =CDU= just a few moments ago.

Anthony Lloyd, himself a former soldier in the British army and a Northern Ireland and Gulf War veteran:
"The men inside (the APC) might have been UN but they were playing by a completely different set of rules. They were Swedes; in terms of individual intelligence, integrity and single-mindedness I was to find them among the most impressive soldiers I had ever encountered. In Vares their moment had come."
