More capacity would be good (same goes for the landrover).
GPMG's would also be good.
Side-by side combat seating inside facing each other would be good.
Royal Navy skinned variant of the Merlin would also be good.

Maybe the Co-pilot or the Pilot Himself Can Press a button and the Cargo Bay Lights up red Siginiling Imident Landing and at the same time as you Suggested Lights on the Outside light up? God that Merlin is a real beuty.

The reason I suggested the co-pilot has control of the lights is a) gives them some purpose at least, b) makes communication between the pilot and co-pilot necessary.

I thought it had already been confirmed that at some point in the distant future of the mod the BH will be down gunned to a pair of M240D/Hs. Due to the fact that regular BH units fly with M240s, with the M134s resurved for the SF supporting units.

As for the Merlin armament, having GPMG door guns would be nice. And some variants of the Merlin carry a .50 MG in a chin turret, though I dont think they're in use by British forces. It also has hard points from rocket pods.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

Yeah, those rocket pods are still a WIP IRL, and they will only be mounted on the naval variant known as the 'Merlin ASW'.

Been thinking more on the Merlin. Ten seats (if possible with the BF2 mesh's) would be a whole lot better. Two pilot's, two door gunners (maybe) and room for a squad.

'[R-PUB wrote:Viper5']Why remove the BHawk guns? I dont know about Merlin but im pretty sure there isnt a BHawk that deploys w/o some type of MG mounted. Merlin can cover up its passengers from enemy fire while the other choppers are exposed. Tradeoffs. Green Lights would be interesting idea across the board tho Im not sure tis possible

The only BH that would be unarmed is a dustoff.... and since medics dont need airlifted in, nor patients out, there is no need for an unarmed BH. As for earlier statements, RL Merlins do have 2 mounted defense weapons... Just as players use BH's as gun platforms, RL helo's can be used for them, it is all in strategy and as long as they arent doing nothing but hovering and shooting. Mix that in with some runs from point A to B with passengers and it could be used effectively.

Exactly. I don't see why a helicopter would not have armament if it were going into battle in an assault style.
