I think the A10 is seriously out of place in a map like Al Basrah. They make more sense in maps like Operation Greasy Mullet. I vote to remove A10s as they just take away from teamwork. I don't mind the A10 when I'm insurgent, I find the cobras far more lethal. But I hate having A10s on my side as USMC. Waste of manpower.

The 64 player one is excellent for Extraction however. In my mind, the only way to play it.$kelet0r wrote:the 32 player map is quite good - the cp's are a little awkward and the choppers are a bit pointless but the firefights and urban combat is excellent
the 64 player map does not work as an AAS map, for scenario yes but otherwise it's a bit of a disaster gameplay wise

With a good commander the A 10's are excellent. The commander acts as a spotter for them and uses them as his arty. My complaint about Al Basrah is that the round's usually too short ..... yes too short.
It's the best map I've ever played on and whole areas are underutilised. I say make the US victory condition that is pushes Insurgents back as far as the bridges. So give the insurgents infinite tickets and the US 2-3k. This would force teamwork.
I agree sometimes that US can get disjointed with specialist squads like Spec ops doing their own thing. By increasing the ticket size it facilitates these players (after all cars bridges etc are down they ll attack and hinder the enemy).
Al Basrah is a beautiful map and very well balanced....increase the ticket size so we can enjoy it for longer.

The last thing this map needs it more tickets. Maybe on Devfile it would be nice to have some 6 hour battles, but if the Ins. had infinate tickets and USMC had 3k, every server with this map on it would be on it almost 24/7. I would quit thie mod, this map is okay but most people just chill at airport.
Why not implement a system where if you stay on airport for more than two minutes you get killed?
