What's going on?

Hi all,

Anyone noticed the incredibly large scores knocking around that have a strange consistency - 1180?

Twice this evening someone has come from nowhere to lead the table at the end with a score of 1180; points which the awards stated were earned from helicopter pilot-age.

Anyone seen anything similar or know of any issues?

Speaking of which – I have been a MG Sergeant for about 2 months now, yet a friend who has only been playing for a month has already outranked me to 1st Sergeant – despite us playing the game the same amount and scoring similar points. Anyone know of an issue with rankings?

Pilots gain a large amount of points at the end of the round because of their K

ratio. The larger the ratio, the more points you gain at the end of a round.
I personally don't like that scoring system. It promotes air whores, and leaves the guys on the ground feeling like they've been shafted.

Its called ABR=Alternative Battlefield Ranking

And you get more points in PR anyway, than the vBF2...but servers can customize their ranking, if they want..I once got promoted 2x times, when I meded a guy..lol..and got an insignia, when I took out a T90 with my heavy AT kit, X-D

Yeah, gives noobs a good reason to camp and Tk for that A10, so they can bombard the Basrah and blow up the insurgents...

Its kinda like getting 60-70 points in vannila would prolly equal 1000 points in PR.

Uff...do a server search in vanilla for "high points" servers..I thought these were haxed to give people more points, but they are not...they are actually using teamwork (and usually no vehicles) to get points...I got 70 last night on one...most of them score 200...

I score like 5 in populated servers, where there is everyone for themselves...I do a commander scan and spot like one guy capping the the flag, and it takes my team 5 mins to get it back...again, capping it with only 1 guy..unless, half of the enemy team spawns there, then they concetrate on that spot and leave the rest defenceless..geez..

And lets not forget stupid TKers...which bring down your score so fckung much..
I really hate the fact, that someone intentionally crashes into me, dies and I TKed him?? wtf..

Cheers guys - was familiar with ABR, but didnt know admins could play with the points weightings.

Anyone got any ideas what might be up with my rankings? Been a MGS for ages

In other words, none of the badges listed above!
