Make facility uncap for insurgents on basrah

Couldn't agree more. If the US team has 32 players and 12 of them are defending facility whilst 12 are attacking mosque (the other 8 are bound to all be noobs) then they shouldn't have a problem. Especially given the availability of armour and air support.

I think this is a good idea. IRL, such as in Fallujah, the U.S. stategy that was used, and worked fairly effectively, was to push the insurgents through the city into a certain point. Insurgents don't fight like regular armies in sustained battles like they do in Al Baserah. If they lost a "flag", which IRL would probably be a weapons depot or somthing similar, they would most likely not enter into a "conventional battle" with the U.S. to attempt to recapture it. They would most likely retreat to their next fall-back position.

That idea simply would not work in a public game. You would have some idiot taking the A-10s and Cobras every time, and it would lead to TKing. Believe me, I admin a 24/7 Al Basrah server. Competition for aircraft is high enough as it is.

All you need to do is limit the number of pilot kits to how much aircraft there is. So on Al Basrah only have 6 pilot kits.

If people would use the USMC air support in a coordinated way, ie a squad calls for CAS and the A-10s and or cobra actually attacks the right area the USMC would wipe the insurgents off the map steam roller style.

If you had A-10s in individual squads, and the same for the cobras, they could be coordinated by the commander who could relay infantry squad requests. If you could get the air support that is accurate and when you need it this would be a one sided map. but as usual teamwork is shitty and people want to change the MAP so its easier. YOU HAVE THE TOOLS, USE THEM TO THE FULLEST!

A-10 pilots are stupid too, I was playing on the 24/7 server last night watching the stupid pilots hit the same spots over and over and over, and these spots are the FLAG ITSELF, where no insurgents are going to stand, instead of attacking the perimeter areas and buildings where I and all my insurgent team mates were at.

I disagree with some peoples ideas of removing A-10s or making the other flags capable by the insurgents.. and the whole idea of the map is that insurgents DEFEND.. so I say once its lost it can't be capped again, that goes for all the flags, right now you already get idiot players on uncapable points like NVCP waiting for infantry to spawn in the APC to camp them.. fine, stay there while your team loses half the map.. I have been on USMC several times where we capped all the way down to the Suburb..

this is why destroying the bridges is VITAL to success of the team.. otherwise you have insurgents leaving palace and coming around from behind and taking the mosque back while your forces are at the suburbs and industry..

they could make NVCP and SVCP neutral at start, cap-able by both teams but once neutralized by the USMC they become uncap-able by the insurgents? just like Village, just so they don't start out USMC, why would they control both of those points and not village? other than securing the supply route? which they haven't done since the Insurgents spawn at that north spawn car to take control of the bridge area anyways? I've seen squads dropped off at SVCP before by a blackhawk to capture it, pretty cool in my opinion, two armor columns could move into NVCP and village to attack and secure it permanently before moving into the Facility? I know it was all done before the server side mod, but the flags were left able to be capped again by insurgents pre server mod

All of this will be moot once civilians come along.

In the meantime, take an APC and start a mech. inf. squad.
