Yup, very great I say, remember that if they are to put in game they should not be looking so new and glossy. Yes soldiers do clean their guns etc. etc. but they do get dirty there so I would like to see textures more dirty :)

I am not designing such a stuff so I.. well I just make the damn websites. Really, I think they would should be looking more dirty.

EDIT:

The model though is awesome.

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

Looks highpoly. Whats the lowpoly tricount?
Could you post a wireframe render without smooth modifiers?

Well I made this today mostly though lack of much else to do and therefore wasnt made for BF2 or even gaming :p but its not too hard to clean it up.

The poly count right now is at 10k which is pretty ridiculous for a weapon, for a game. However about half of that is the smoothing and foregrip. Once its cleaned up it should reach about 4k tops. I may keep this as it is for university (which I was originally thinking of doing it for), but since you guys seem so keen Ill make a copy for BF2. Prob take about a day to get it cleaned up and modded for game. The skinning etc is done and doesnt really need changing.

Oh and I use 3DS Max (I believe Gmax is the freeware copy and theres a 30 day trial at autodesk.com if you want to try it out. Maya is another good one if anyone is interested in learning).

I wasnt expecting such a quick and possitive responses. So thanks alot all, Ill stop playing games and get back to work then

Very nice!

A day you say. At that rate you should really join the Dev team and every EA model will be replaced in a week!

That does look imaculate :)
Get some scratches on it and it will be superb.

This could be a candidate for an MEC spec ops weapon in my eyez!

Lets see there is

Modelling it,
UV Mapping it,
Texturing it,
Animating it,
Coding it,
then probably about a week or more of tweaking ;)

You aren't really world wise are you.

H&K never made a M468, Barrett did. What you have there is a H&K 416. So you stand corrected

It would probably end up being the US spec ops weapon because I think the US is the only force ingame that uses it(but in low numbers in the SOF community)
