Yeah well yasee, that was a tester version. With the money Alex gets paid for his work with the CIA, the PR Team buys sweet PCs for all the Testers. We get sweet graphics and such but have to tone it down to BF2 Graphics for the community. Hence is why you see testers doing so much "testing"
Really the only map that does remind me of the real thing is "Fallujah." Fallujah was one of the most intense operations in Iraq beside the initial result. Some of the most key aspects of the terrain were lost in translation such as the Euphrates, the peninsula, and the two major highways running E/W and N/S.
***NOTE***
This is not meant to insult the designers or ask for it to be changed. Only mentioned because the surprise when first looking at the map.

in r/l the brits control basrah at the mo, but we dont have enouth brit assests ingame to have the map running the brits, when we do then we will swap the us out for brits
Just a question, Rhino or other devs, 4 km? How are you guys planning on making that run on my pc? I.e. will you guys implement these new maps without cutting half the PR pop due to sys-req?
I'm thinking these mappers are going to have to be VERY disciplined in their usage of models for this to be playable.

I just noticed this as I was reading the reviews for PR that scroll in the top right on the header... tThe city imagery in the background is actually the city imagery of Fallujah, Iraq. Has anybody else noticed this and was this done on purpose by the Dev team?
